It should be understood as the meaning of great purity. The third is the pinnacle of the characteristic vehicle. The ultimate meaning of the Victorious Ones, the Madhyamaka Prasangika school, prevents all elaborations with the attachment of existence and non-existence, affirmation and negation. It establishes the state of affairs where nothing whatsoever is established, the great indivisible truth beyond the mind, in a manner that is primordially pure. Because of the power of not having a commitment to one's own system, it throws the ashes of one's own commitment upon the commitment of others, thereby destroying all commitments of substantial clinging. Thus, all phenomena of appearance and existence are merely interdependent arising. Real things arise dependently, and unreal things are established dependently. Thus, all phenomena included by interdependence are without inherent existence. If there were inherent existence, it would not be reasonable to arise dependently. Because it arises dependently, there is no arising from the four extremes, and there is not even a little bit of establishment as the nature of one or different. Therefore, like an unreal illusion, through the gate of being free from the subtle extremes of permanence and annihilation, the temporary path and the ultimate fruition are brought to completion. Furthermore, there are five great reasonings that determine the meaning of the non-establishment of inherent existence: freedom from one and many, vajra slivers, freedom from arising of existence and non-existence, negation of function, and great interdependence. The first: the phenomena that appear as entities, it follows that neither real nor unreal are established, because it is free from one and many, like the moon in water. The second: the way things appear, it follows that they are without essence, because there is no arising from self, other, both, or without cause, like a dream. If it arises from self, it follows that arising is meaningless and endless. If it arises from other, it follows that everything arises from everything. If it arises from both, it follows that the faults of stating both fall simultaneously. If it arises from no cause, it follows that everything does not appear, or the effort made for the sake of the result is cut off. Therefore, the arising of a sprout from a seed also appears only as interdependence. However, in reality, the seed and the sprout, neither one nor different can be found, therefore it is free from focus. The third: these various appearances of phenomena, it follows that they are without inherent existence, because whether real or unreal, they are free from arising.

rir ro. Furthermore, that which exists, having already been born, should not be born again, because it has already been born. That which does not exist is contrary to that which exists, therefore it cannot become existent. Fourth, the object of knowledge, the dharma, should be without substance, because it cannot perform a function. A moment cannot perform a function, because it ceases at the time of performing a function. It does not perform gradually, because continuity and moment are mutually exclusive. Fifth, mere appearance, the dharma, should be without substance, because it is interdependent. Like an image. Furthermore, if a thing were established by its own nature, it would not arise dependently, because it is already established as a thing. That which arises dependently is pervaded by emptiness, just as the illusory horse and cow are empty of horse and cow from the time they appear, and though they are not established in any way, subtle or gross, this unfailing appearance due to the mere assembly of causes and conditions is also an appearance in emptiness, and when examined, it is not established anywhere and no place of acceptance is found. Furthermore, there is no permanence or destruction, change or no change. There are three reasons to refute the four dharmas. First, mere appearance, the dharma, is not a thing, because it is neither destroyed nor not destroyed. If the pot exists to be destroyed, then it must be destroyed either when it exists or when it does not exist, but it is not destroyed when it exists, because it is the opposite of destruction, and there is nothing to be destroyed when it does not exist. It is also not indestructible or permanent, because it has become the nature of a moment. Second, mere appearance, the dharma, is not a thing, because it is neither changing nor unchanging. Furthermore, if a thing changes temporarily, then an old person would also become young, and in which state, permanent or impermanent, does the change itself exist, and it is not established by examining the parts. If it does not change, then it is impossible for a young person to become old. Third, if the four, birth, aging, abiding, and destruction, occur in sequence, then they are not complete in a moment, and if they occur simultaneously, then birth and death, old age and youth, occur together, and so on, and contradictions gather together, as explained in the Hinayana. Thus, with the wisdom that all dharmas are without inherent existence, in all activities, cut off all the elaborations of grasping at characteristics, and abide in equality. Even so, without preventing the appearance in conventional terms, the basis is the Madhyamaka two truths, the path is the Madhyamaka two accumulations, the result is the Madhyamaka two bodies pair.
