Because of experiencing happiness and suffering, they think like this. That view also has three internal divisions: distinct consciousness-aspects, numerous aspects, and diverse non-duality. The first view asserts that while the appearance of external objects like mountains is consciousness, the consciousness of the apprehended aspect and the apprehending aspect are different, just as the yolk and white of a boiled egg are separate when dry. They believe that the consciousness of blue appearance and blue grasping directly grasps as two true parts, so it is also called half an egg. The second view asserts that just as many aspects can be distinguished, the grasping consciousness also has the same capacity. Therefore, knowing five fingers is asserted as five true entities, not one true entity, so two aspects cannot appear in one consciousness. The third view asserts that although various appearances such as blue and yellow appear in one consciousness, they are true as the nature of one consciousness. If one tries to prove that external objects are consciousness by the sign of clarity and awareness, it also applies to the existence of external objects that are objects of knowledge themselves and are merely knowable, thus involving doubt. And that it is a clear and aware consciousness is what needs to be proven, so it cannot be established. If it is said that the connection between the knowable and the knowing is blocked at the same time, and similarity is also excluded when they are not simultaneous, thus establishing the clarity and awareness of consciousness, then although this establishes that external objects are false, it does not establish that they are identical to true consciousness, just as excluding that an image is the object does not establish that it is a mirror. Furthermore, if it is like half an egg, and external objects are false, then the consciousness identical to it should also be false. If it is true, then it should also be established as a thing according to its appearance. If there is a consciousness that appears as an external object different from the internal grasping consciousness, then it would follow that consciousness is separated from the body, and that the mind has colors, etc., and that mountains, etc., can perceive back, and that as many as there are diverse appearances, there can be very many consciousnesses in one stream of consciousness at the same time, because this would cause harm, because consciousness is established as true, and each object appearance is a separate consciousness. For the case where the apprehended and apprehending are equal in number, like seeing a mottled object, the gross appearance of seeing various things at the same time would be interrupted, because each consciousness is different, and it is truly established. Because there is no other in the nature of each, like the thoughts in the streams of many people. Therefore, the consciousness that appears as diverse is

Even if it is not one, since there is no true establishment in many different things, it appears as many things simultaneously in knowledge. Although various things appear to be non-dual, if the term "one" is used while appearing as many, then the designation of many things such as the five colors will be interrupted, because there is no other way to establish them other than appearing as many. Therefore, even for the eye consciousness that sees variegated colors, it is only permissible to use the term "one knowledge," but since it is established on many things, it is not truly established as one. Therefore, if one establishes things differently from how they appear, there will be other faults, such as the Buddha and sentient beings becoming one continuum, because the mind continuum of sentient beings appears clearly to the Buddha; and if things appear differently but are actually true, then burning fire would also be true as water, and so on, everything would become everything, which would be too extreme. Therefore, if one examines it ultimately, since neither the object nor the consciousness is truly established, objects and consciousness can appear as self, other, and various things, but one should know that they are not established as such in reality, which is the key point. Secondly, the Mind-Only False Aspectarians, such as Master Dharmakirti, believe that everything that appears is neither object nor consciousness, but merely a clear appearance like hairs in the sky due to the delusion of ignorance, and that consciousness is like a pure crystal ball, without any form. Regarding this, those with defilements say that in the state of mind, all eight consciousnesses exist in ultimate truth, and even in the state of Buddhahood, the environment and beings appear clearly, so although form does not exist in its nature, it does not disappear. Those without defilements or the pure believe that in the state of mind, the seven aggregates are temporary and sudden consciousnesses, which are conventional truth; and since the alaya consciousness has no increase or decrease and no difference in grasping, its ultimate nature is called primordial wisdom, which is ultimate truth; in the state of Buddhahood, since the habitual tendencies have been exhausted, just as the appearance of dreams ceases after waking up, nothing appears other than the mind, and the mind is separated from all forms, experiencing without any conceptualization, abiding only in the state of self-knowing and self-illuminating, which is the Dharmakaya; due to its blessing, even though things do not exist in reality, all the environment and beings appear to those to be tamed as omniscient, teaching the Dharma, and performing deeds, which is the Rupakaya. They believe that it is acceptable for them that nothing that appears is truly established, but for consciousness
