From (here). First, the Mind-Only School believes that all phenomena are contained within mind-only, and considers the consciousness that is empty of the apprehended and the apprehender to be the ultimate truth. Among them, there are also the common views of the Mind-Only School, and two different situations of true and false appearances. The common view is that the self-aware and self-illuminating consciousness without the distinction of the apprehended and the apprehender is considered the ultimate truth, and the differences of schools are established by binding all phenomena with the bonds of the three natures: the completely imputed, the other-powered, and the thoroughly established. In short, if one wants to summarize the tenets of this school, one can start from the three aspects of the object of focus, the manner of practice, and the result of achievement. First, regarding the object of focus, there are the basis of those with fortune, the five bases of the object of view, and the two selflessnesses of the object of meditation. The first one has the three lineages of the three vehicles, as well as the uncertain lineage and the five cut-off lineages. The second one is that form does not actually exist as a material entity in the external environment, but due to the power of the maturation of habits that are perfumed in the Alaya consciousness by the appearance of objects, it appears as the form of the external environment, just like horses and cows in a dream. Consciousness has six entering consciousnesses, defiled mind, and Alaya consciousness, a total of eight. Among them, the Alaya consciousness is the place of habits, merely the awareness of the meaning of the object, which is constantly and continuously existing from moment to moment. If classified, there are two parts: the Vipaka and the seed, which are the nature of becoming the result and the cause. Its nature is hidden and unlabelled, its retinue is the five pervasive ones such as touch, and its object is the unclear and vast container and sentient world. Therefore, the seven consciousnesses with retinues do not arise from their own continuum, but the habits formed in the similar later lives are perfumed in the Alaya consciousness, just like the shadow of a vase, arising in each moment of the Alaya consciousness. Therefore, it is called the Alaya consciousness with various habits because it acts as the basis for the aggregates of conditioned phenomena of samsara and the virtuous, non-virtuous, and unlabelled aggregates of conditioned phenomena and the consciousness aggregates. The element, the Tathagatagarbha, and the self-nature purity are called the Alaya consciousness of meaning because they are inseparable from the qualities and self-nature of Nirvana and the unconditioned. Here, what is referred to is the Alaya consciousness with habits that is the basis of samsara. The defiled mind is the one that focuses on the Alaya consciousness and clings to it as self, having nine retinues such as the view of self, and it arises in all places and times except for the samadhi on the noble path and between the cessation samadhi. The six consciousnesses are well known.

Yes. The fifty-one associated mental factors are as previously explained. The twenty-three non-associated formative factors are considered to be merely imputed existents, temporarily designated, and not substantially existent. In addition to the three unconditioned factors, add: the suchness of selflessness, which is not made by causes and conditions; and on that suchness, the cessation of immovability at the time when the Dharma of the desire realm is ultimately born; and on that suchness, the cessation of perception and feeling at the time when the seven aggregates are not born. Adding these three, there are six cessations. The object of negation of the other five is distinguished by the state of not having the respective negations on that suchness. On top of all those bases, there are three natures: the totally imputed nature, which is merely imputed and has no own-character, i.e., whatever appears as the two, grasper and grasped, and is the object of attachment, which can be expressed by names. Dependent arising is dependent on causes and conditions, i.e., the very consciousness that arises due to the power of various habitual tendencies, appearing as various pure and impure phenomena. On the dependent nature, the thoroughly established nature is established as completely cutting off what is not like the totally imputed nature, i.e., abiding in the nature of being empty of the two selves. The totally imputed nature has two types: the totally imputed nature of broken characteristics, such as the self of phenomena and persons imputed by the mind as impossible in meaning. The nominal totally imputed nature, such as the appearance of two moons, etc., which appears to the mind as non-existent. The nature of all that appears as non-existent, such as form, general meaning, and designation by name. The dependent nature also has two types: the impure dependent nature, i.e., the mundane mind and mental factors together with their objects. The pure dependent nature, i.e., the subsequent attainment mind and mental factors of the supramundane mind, and the arrangement of pure lands, etc. The thoroughly established nature also has two types: the unchanging thoroughly established nature, i.e., the suchness of the object; and the non-inverted thoroughly established nature, i.e., the wisdom of the object-possessor. Among them, form and mental factors such as contact, etc., twenty-three in total, and suchness are substantially existent. Mental factors such as volition, etc., twenty-nine in total, and all non-associated formations, space, and the five cessations are imputed existents. Among them, the dependent nature is the ultimate truth of the Dharma characteristic, the thoroughly established nature is the ultimate truth of the Dharma nature, and the totally imputed nature is considered to be the conventional truth. Therefore, the sutras say that all dharmas are without self-nature, all of which are spoken to the object of the totally imputed on the grasper and grasped.
