Although there are countless arrogant beings, the most important among them are these thirty great chieftains, who are the kings of all arrogant ones. They listen to the command of the Great Glorious One and have vowed to be friends to yogis, never deviating from the vajra commitment. Therefore, if one makes offerings and relies on them, one can quickly achieve the means to accomplish common siddhis and become a helper in achieving ultimate siddhi. Furthermore, one should please these protecting deities by offering them suitable substances. Establish outer, inner, and secret practice substances as supports and rely on them continuously. The three practices of extracting the life essence should be understood as having a common meaning. Other treatises also mention the four methods of practice that include the intention of offering praise, as well as mentioning the three methods of approach, accomplishment, and activity, etc., which should be understood according to their respective viewpoints. In summary, if one were to gather together those great arrogant beings of the world, they can be gathered into the eight classes of arrogant ones, and these arrogant ones can act as gods or demons; they can be medicine or poison. As it is said, if offered to, they submit; if entrusted, they accomplish; if cursed, they depart, which is the nature of things. This is not only the case when practicing with arrogant beings, but even the mantras of wisdom deities, whether applied to the various activities of attracting or subduing, will accomplish as one visualizes, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, which is the nature of dependent arising, and need not be elaborated upon. Furthermore, in this context, the essence of worldly offering and praise practices is extracted, and four key instructions are taught on how to make arrogant beings attached to foot-washing water like dogs: explaining how all worldly beings are gathered into the eight classes of gods, nagas, and demons; explaining how all offering methods are gathered into eight types of supplications; explaining how all methods of reliance are gathered into eight types of reliance; explaining how all methods of practice are gathered into eight types of practice. First, if all white things are gathered, they are gathered into Ging; similarly, all red things are gathered into Tsen; all black things are gathered into Demons (Dud); all yellow things are gathered into Yakshas (Nod Sbyin); all purple things are gathered into Rakshasas (Srin Po); all powerful beings above are gathered into Planets (Gza'); all powerful beings below are gathered into Nagas (Klu); all female lineages are gathered into Mothers (Ma Mor), and these eight classes are offered and praised.

One should subdue and control the pride of worldly deities. Because they generally possess inconceivable magical powers, and in particular, the Ging (藏文:གིང་), who control madness and possession, the Mamo (藏文:མ་མོ་), who control epidemics, etc., each possesses powerful abilities to accomplish their respective tasks. Therefore, if one makes offerings and entreats them, they will quickly accomplish the task. Secondly, all offerings are summarized into eight types of food offerings, which are explained as follows: All Ging (藏文:གིང་) are offered and honored with King-shaped Torma castle offerings. Similarly, all demons (藏文:བདུད་) are offered with demon Torma secret boxes placed on the right side. The Tsen (藏文:བཙན་) are offered with ornamented knife Torma. Yakshas (藏文:གནོད་སྦྱིན་) are offered with rice and meat Torma the size of a thumb. Rakshasas (藏文:སྲིན་པོ་) are offered with auspicious triangular Torma. Planets (藏文:གཟའ་) are offered with ordinary Torma. Nagas (藏文:ཀླུ་) are offered with round, white, sweet, and ornamented Torma. Mamos (藏文:མ་མོ་) and Dakinis are offered with saliva-scattered Torma. By these examples, one should also understand the corresponding outer, inner, and secret offering substances according to the scriptures and oral instructions. If one makes offerings well, they will become helpers, so making offerings and praises is very important. Thirdly, the ways of relying on them are summarized into eight types, explaining all the methods of reliance: The scriptures say that there are eight methods of reliance, eight benefits of reliance, and eight faults of not relying in this way. Although they are explained separately, here they are summarized and explained together. All Ging (藏文:གིང་) are relied upon like kings, from which arise the accomplishments of greatness, power, and authority. If one does not rely in this way, one will become attached to retinues, and one's own glory and reputation will diminish. All demons (藏文:བདུད་) are relied upon like fathers, by relying in this way, wealth and livestock will increase. If one does not rely in this way, wealth will be depleted, and one will go hungry. All Tsen (藏文:བཙན་) are relied upon like friends, from which arises the deceptive accomplishment of causing affection. If one does not rely in this way, one will suddenly have many illnesses and eventually die by the sword. All Yakshas (藏文:གནོད་སྦྱིན་) are relied upon like gods, from which arises the accomplishment of a gentle nature and great protection. If one does not rely in this way, it will be difficult to listen to instructions and it will be inauspicious. All Rakshasas (藏文:སྲིན་པོ་) are relied upon like servants, from which arises the accomplishment of obeying orders and accomplishing tasks. If one does not rely in this way, they will not listen to orders and will be talkative. All fierce planets (藏文:གཟའ་) are relied upon like lords, from which arises the accomplishment of bravery, glory, and sharp reputation. If one does not rely in this way, one will be very lazy and wealth will be depleted. All Nagas (藏文:ཀླུ་) are relied upon like slaves, from which arises the accomplishment of little disobedience and quick action. If one does not rely in this way, it will be inauspicious, and the womb...
