When (the eight masters, including Padmasambhava) were in meditation and abiding, wonderful sights appeared, such as light and rainbows swirling around eight peculiar boxes. They saw dakinis and arrogant deities surrounding them, and thought, "Here are profound teachings capable of destroying the world." Therefore, the masters focused their minds on this, and gave the samaya substances to the Dharma protectors, made vows and brought them under control. At that time, the dakinis said, "Please bestow what teachings?" and let the wind pass the boxes over. Therefore, The silver box containing the Dharma class of the right path was given to the master Humkara's hand. The iron box containing the Dharma class of Manjushri's body was given to Manjushri Mitra's hand. The copper box containing the Dharma class of the Lotus speech was given to Nagarjuna's heart essence's hand. The turquoise bone box containing the Dharma class of Vajrakilaya was given to Padmasambhava's (Pema Jungne) hand. The golden box containing the Dharma class of the Great Supreme was given to Vimalamitra's hand. The rhinoceros hide box containing the Dharma class of Mamo was given to Dhanasamskrita's hand. The birch bark box containing the Dharma class of offering and praise was given to Rambuguyadevachandra's hand. The meteorite box containing the Dharma class of wrathful mantras was given to Phurbashantingarbha's hand. A box made of five kinds of precious jewels, tightly sealed with fine cloth and containing eighty small boxes, was placed in the middle of the masters. Another historical record states that the box of Vajrakilaya Dharma class was given to Prabahasti's hand. The box made of five kinds of precious jewels, which is the Dharma class for practicing the Eight Commands Mandala in one, was held by Padmasambhava (Pema Jungne), the holder of all Dharma transmissions. This is the history of the transmission of the nine lineage vidyadharas. Afterwards, the masters each opened their own boxes and took out their respective Dharma classes. Then, regarding the treatises, the accomplished masters have well explained the meaning of those tantras, and then summarized them into the meaning of the four wheels of Manjushri Body, etc., the tenets of the meaning of each of the eight practice sections, and the body of the Manjushri Body, etc.
