Initially, regarding the Kriya Tantra, the essence of all Vidyā-mantras, such as the six general Tantras like the 'Bahu-bhadra Tantra', and the branch Tantras, such as the Mañjuśrī category like the 'Mañjuśrī Vimala Tantra', and the Avalokiteśvara category like the 'Large and Small Umbrella Tantras', and the Vajrapāṇi category like the 'Vajrapāṇi Abhiṣeka Tantra', representing the three, the Kriya Tantras, etc., in the common place of Nairañjanā and the special places of Campaka, etc., at the request of the Lord of the Gods, etc., the Teacher manifested as the Three Family Lords, etc., and spoke. Regarding the Carya Tantra and Yoga Tantra, such as the 'Abhisamaya-alaṃkāra' and the 'Nirvikalpa Tantra', etc., they are spoken of as appropriate, similar to the essence of the Kriya Tantra and Yoga Tantra. The Yoga Tantra has three types: Yoga, Mahāyoga, and Yoga Supreme Tantra. Firstly, in the common place of the Thirty-three Heavens and the special place of Akanishtha, the Teacher, in the form of Samantabhadra Vairocana, at the request of the questioner, the Lord of Secrets, etc., spoke the Yoga Great Treatise of three hundred sections, and the four Great Scripture Tantras, namely: 'Tattva-saṃgraha', 'Vajraśekhara', 'Śrīparamādya', 'Tarkika-saṃgraha Tantra', etc., for the benefit of the retinue deities and Bodhisattvas. Mahāyoga is the Tantra of Mahāyoga, that is, the Tantra of Mahāyoga represented by the eighteen Great Tantras such as the 'Elephant King's Rapid Advancement Tantra', etc., the Teacher manifested as Mahāśrī or Vairocana, etc., and spoke within the retinue of the questioner Vajradhara, etc. If the Tantras of Mahāyoga are summarized, they can be summarized into two types: the Tantras of Method and Wisdom. The Yoga Supreme Tantra has two Yanas: the Anuyoga of Completion and the Atiyoga of Great Completion. Firstly, in the grove of Queen Pūrī, the Teacher manifested as the Great Glorious Samantabhadra or Vajrasattva, at the request of the Lord of Laṅkā, and spoke the four Sutras and the five Sutras, the four Sutras are: 'Sarva-saṃgraha-vidyā Sūtra', 'Citta-saṃgraha-mahā-loka Sūtra', 'Jñāna-bhaya-vidyut-cakra Sūtra' 'Śītavana-kokila-vilāsa Sūtra', 'Sarva-buddha-samagra-abhiprāya Sūtra'.

All the instructions were placed in it. Ati Yoga is, in the garden of Queen Puri and the garden of Zama Puri, the teacher himself manifested as the glorious Samantabhadra Kunjed Gyalpo, and spoke of the supreme aspects of the Great Perfection Mind Division, such as the tantras of Samantabhadra himself residing in the great, and so on. Thus, the various teachings that were spoken were also for the beings of Jambudvipa and those of the Hearer, Solitary Realizer, and Bodhisattva lineages. Shakya King himself spoke of the causal philosophical vehicles in the noble lands and so on, and manifested as Sarvavid Vairochana for the gods and the three-family protectors and other great beings, and spoke of the three divisions of the outer tantras. He also manifested as the glorious Samantabhadra for the five families and their retinues, and spoke of the three divisions of the inner tantras. These were in accordance with the gradual minds of the disciples, and although they resided in common places such as Dhanakosha, the Cool Grove, the King's Residence, Mount Fire, and so on, and special places such as Akanishta and the expanse of the Dharma realm of the Mother, they appeared as common and special teachers to the ordinary and special disciples, and turned the wheel of Dharma of cause and effect. In reality, it is only that the teacher, with his unique wisdom body, manifested in various forms in accordance with the thoughts of the disciples, and showed various teachings through various plays. These extensively proclaimed teachings are the eighty-four thousand Dharmas, the moderately proclaimed teachings are the twelve branches of scripture, and the concisely proclaimed teachings are known as the nine gradual vehicles. Furthermore, there are unimaginably many ways of establishing Yoga, outer, inner, secret, and so on, but in reality they are all included in the two vehicles of cause and effect. These teachings, when divided according to the way they were spoken, have three types: teachings spoken from the mouth, teachings of blessing, and teachings of permission. Such teachings of the vehicles of cause and effect were held in mind by the individual compilers who gathered in the assembly at that time, and were recorded in writing, so that they spread and flourished in this world. The common cause, the Paramita Vehicle, was compiled by the Elder Kashyapa and others, and passed down from person to person.
