The so-called "thing to be proven," since it is said to be the definition of a proposition, the term "to be proven" generally refers to all things that need to be proven by reasoning. It does not rely solely on the special proposition desired in one's own mind, because both the proposition and the unestablished reason are the same in the eyes of the debater as things to be proven by reasoning, without any difference. Both the reason and the proposition have true and seemingly true aspects, the true one has the ability to establish, while the other does not, but only from the surface, it seems that all have the ability to establish. Therefore, saying "Do examples and reasons that are not established become things to be proven?" is an example of an overly broad pervasion cited by the wise. Otherwise, if the thing to be proven is not considered from the perspective of the object of knowledge, then all unestablished things, such as rabbit horns, etc., would become things to be proven, and such a consequence must be put forward, but because it is not said in this way, this is a way of raising objections based on the premise that things are to be proven by reasoning. In this way, if we examine the external expression of words related to the three times, it points out the fault that examples and reasons are not established and cannot be determined. Second, refuting the answer: The definition of the thing to be proven will not be so overly broad, because the suffix of "thing to be proven" has the function of expressing meaning, therefore, like a potter, the thing to be proven in his heart is the pottery pot to be made, so the ability to establish, such as wheels and clay, etc., will not be regarded as things to be proven. Furthermore, even if the example and reason are not established, they are branches of the five-membered syllogism that can establish, but not branches of the proposition, because the external types are different. Moreover, because it is the tenet promised by the debater, in general, there are four kinds of tenets: the tenet of the lineage that is incompatible with all lineages, or the tenet of the debater's lineage; the tenet that can be adopted at will or the tenet of the occasion; and the tenet of promise, in order, not contradicting all lineages, such as the present object, is the first; established in the same lineage, but not established in other lineages, like the internal incompatible promise, is the second; when something is established, other situations are also established, is the third, if there is no direct promise, then

It is like non-arising being established by force. The fourth examination is the initial difference from promising without examination. Thus, in summary, this to-be-established is the activity of the establisher, is a promise, is promised as to-be-established, and with the three reasons of not being the establisher, it will not be too extensive for the unestablished example and reason, because the very unestablished example and reason is not from each of the three etc. If it is said: all of the unestablished establisher and the unestablished to-be-established, because the various modes of the sign of cognition have not yet been established, there is no difference in the way of becoming to-be-established, and therefore becoming or about to become the activity of the to-be-established, promising or about to promise, promising or about to promise are all the same, the difference of activity and promise etc. exists, like this, with an answer of close arrangement, it is not possible to distinguish each without confusion. Furthermore, for the latter two answers to be blocked separately, first, the blocking of the promise is because what is to be established first is the promise, because it is thought that only the nature that has not been established before needs to be established by reason, there is also doubt there about the unestablished example and reason, the to-be-established is only a branch of the promise, or it is thought that the branch of the to-be-established itself, is also not right, because both becoming or possibly becoming a branch of the to-be-established are held by the aspect and characteristic. Second, because the tenet promised by the opponent, it will also not exceed being too extensive, because whatever opponent promises as to-be-established, becomes the characteristic of a promise, that also exists in the unestablished establishment as the establisher, therefore that is also the same as to-be-established. Or, it is also said that the unestablished reason and example are merely promised by the opponent, therefore that does not distinguish the difference. Therefore, in one's own system, what is considered to-be-established at that time is with the extreme of the past, therefore that alone is to-be-established, the unestablished example etc. at that time is not to-be-established but is the establisher, and the promise is also not considered a branch of the establisher, therefore it will not be confused. The logicians etc. also consider the promise to be a branch of the establisher, and merely becoming to-be-established by reason is established as the characteristic of a promise, therefore application.
