Pages 801 to 901. Pages 801 to 901. There is no way, and not being the support of that dharma is unnecessary to examine, just as sound is impermanent, there is no need to examine the pot, so this statement will become without distinction. If you say so, then the meaning that one's own intended dharma is the nature of dharma can be understood by merely explaining the definition of the subject, but because one's own support or dharma nature is also mentioned here, for the dharma nature that became the support of the dharma at that time, harm will also become harm to what is to be proven, which is the established meaning. The reason for that harm is that the dharma nature of the support is contradictory to the established, because the dharma that must rely on it to be established is contradictory. Otherwise, if one's own support is not mentioned, then the dharma with the image of a deity that the debater intends is what is to be proven, because of saying this, in some cases, it is thought that it is only harm to the dharma to be proven itself, therefore it is also said when pointing out the fault of the proposition. Here, the word "only" means only, in order to cut off the idea that it is not a fault even if the dharma nature is harmed, only harming the dharma to be proven, so one's own support is said. Secondly, the necessity of distinction is, other wrong conceptions, including examples, etc. This sentence eliminates such doubts. That is to avoid controversy. First, things and what others think are unreasonable. First, it is not necessary to determine one's own support as a complete exclusion like that, because the meaning of the collection is what is to be proven is already established, if the dharma nature is harmed, then is the harm to the dharma to be proven also actually established? Indeed, it is so for the wise among the debaters, but in order to dispel the wrong conceptions of other unskilled people, because some debaters, even if they do not particularly distinguish the intended dharma, also admit that merely the nature of the dharma nature, or excluding being alone, also has the fault of harming what is to be proven at that time. What is that? For example, the Lokayata and others think that sound and space etc. are permanent substances, to which the Buddhists say, space etc. are dharma nature. It should not be impossible to generate a previously non-existent nature through other co-acting conditions. Because it is not the cause of producing sounds etc. simultaneously.

Therefore, when the Vaibhashikas and others refute this reason, just as this reason refutes the permanent dharma that cannot produce things that did not exist before. The nature of the subject of phenomena such as space is also negated because it negates the real, so the subject of phenomena will be negated. If the subject of phenomena is not established, then the dharma to be proven will not be established, so this reason will have the fault of contradicting the negation of the subject of phenomena, just like saying this. Second, the intention of the refuter is not valid, because the inner Buddhist negates the real space, and only negates the absence of obstruction and contact, etc., so he wants to argue in this way, so for the non-real, the dharma that cannot produce things that did not exist before is established. Because the self-nature basis of the dharma to be proven has not been excluded by the reason, there is no obstacle to establishing the current thing to be proven. If the permanent dharma produces, then it should produce simultaneously, but in reality it does not produce simultaneously, which is established by valid cognition. If it is gradually produced by the aggregation of common auxiliary conditions, then there must be a difference that did not exist before, so it has been argued that the permanent dharma is not a cause, so the basis to be proven has not been negated. No, but thinking that negating the desired space permanent dharma will be an obstacle, this will only become because other subjects of phenomena are negated, not the basis of the dharma to be proven, so thinking that there will be an obstacle here. Space subject of phenomena, is the basis of the permanent dharma of sound, just like saying this. Sound is permanent dharma, the subject of phenomena is space, just like thinking this, at that time, the space that is related to the dharma and the subject of phenomena, and cannot produce the difference that did not exist before, is not the permanent dharma real, so it is not related to the current dharma to be proven, relative to it, the subject of phenomena is independent, because there is no relationship. Or, if this reason says, if space is a cause, then there will be a difference in common action, because it will not produce simultaneously. This implies that if it is a cause, then it is impermanent. At that time, the real space will become the subject of phenomena, so the self-nature basis has not been negated, and the permanent dharma space has been negated. However, as stated in the Ornament Sutra and others, although it is not a direct inference, it is actually similar to implying an inference, rather than establishing it, because it is based on the other party's admission that it is a cause, and then discusses the order and simultaneity of the cause.
