It is not even a little bit. Second, regarding the fact that definite cause and effect are never confused, establish that cause and effect are not disordered, and refute the opponent's answer who thinks they are disordered. First, the different natures of the effects are different because they arise from the different entities of the causes. For those that have become the nature of cause and effect, it is established that it is impossible to become other than others by the reason of the nature of phenomena. Therefore, without its own cause, arising from other than the non-cause, how can that be the nature produced by the cause? Because it is born from another cause, it is a mistake to consider it the same kind as the other. Moreover, because the power of the collection of causes is different and distinct, the entities of the effects are of various different natures, just like the fruits of barley and wheat. If it arises from different kinds of causes that are not the same, and it is not the power of the cause that makes the kinds of effects different, then all that exists in the world will become one entity, because even though the causes are different, they will not change separately because of that. Second, state the fault of arising from a non-cause, and refute the uncertain debate about this. First, establish the thing and its meaning of establishment. First, the statement that the effect arising from different kinds of dissimilar causes is of a different kind is uncertain, because it is also seen that cause and effect arise in a disordered way. For example, smoke arises from its own cause, fire, and it is also seen to arise from the crown of Indra, which is a non-cause. If you say that the one born from the crown of Indra is not of the same kind as the smoke, the fruit of fire, so it cannot be said that smoke is born from a non-cause, because the causes are different. If it is not the difference of the cause that makes this effect different, then for that which is considered to be of one nature of smoke, there are also two kinds, so the very nature of being one will disappear, just as in this way, the nature of smoke has two kinds, that which is born from non-fire and that which is born from fire. If you think that one smoke is the nature of many kinds, so it has many natures, just like the smoke of sandalwood and juniper, what is contradictory? All the differences of the smoke of sandalwood and juniper, etc., are born from the cause of fire, so only the nature of smoke

Although there is no difference in essence, there are differences in individual types. Thus, the so-called "nature of things" has sameness and difference because it arises from the power of the cause with such a nature. If, like the absence of fire, the fruit of fire—smoke—exists in an anthill, then it cannot be established that the respective abilities of the causes are definite. Moreover, it cannot be established that the fruit must depend on the cause, and therefore it would constantly arise. If it is thought that even if it does not constantly arise, that which arises depending on the anthill is only the nature of smoke, then the nature of things is what differentiates from the power of the cause, and therefore it will become multiple in nature. Even if it becomes multiple, if it is one in the nature of smoke, then it must be both one in nature and many in nature, which is contradictory, because these two cannot exist on one basis. If one and many in nature are not contradictory, then not only smoke, but also its cause—what is considered the crown of Indra—should become two natures, fire and non-fire, because what arises from it is real smoke, so its cause will become real fire. Moreover, since it is admitted that it is not a cause, it will also become devoid of fire. In this way, it is not possible to establish the distinction between being and not being for this thing at all, because the basis of contradiction will become coexistent. Therefore, if the other crown of Indra, which is not a cause, is the nature that produces that smoke, then the crown of Indra is that fire itself, because it has become its nature. If it is not the nature that produces that smoke which arises from fire, then how can that smoke arise from the crown of Indra? It is established that merely because the nature of the cause is different, it will not produce the fruit of the other, and no other analysis is needed, because smoke from cedar wood does not produce smoke from fir trees. Second, the meaning of establishment. Thus, the fact that causes and effects are determined to be natures that do not mix with each other means that just as when one sees the nature of fire itself, one does not doubt its existence, so even if one does not see fire, but sees the effect—smoke—one will undoubtedly realize the existence of fire. Second, posing a question and answering it. First, if it is said that the causes—the anthill and fire—are of different kinds, and therefore do not produce one effect—smoke, then
