If they were not distinct, it would lead to the absurd conclusion that understanding one would lead to understanding all. How then are the knowable and the knower established? In reality, the true state of affairs is that when analyzing, such a distinct aspect of difference is not established, hence it is said that there is no difference. But on the conventional level, for objects that are merely imputed, when distinguishing the aspects of negation from the perspective of cutting off superimpositions, is that aspect the same as the object possessing that aspect, or is it different from it? Thus, one examines and prevents holding such a view, because for what is imputed by the mind, there is no need to ascertain one or many, therefore there is no room for such disputes. Secondly, if there is nothing other than imputation, then the classification of knowable and knower cannot be without fault, if you say so. Then, the object to be measured, the subject, and the sign that measures it, the existence of these terms with different meanings, is because in the consciousness that names, relying on the difference thus established, one can distinguish and establish the sign and the sign-possessor, so how can there not be terms? All terms are included in knowing, speaking, and acting, and the root of all of these depends on the terms of consciousness. Thirdly, if analysis is merely a dharma imputed by the mind, then merely through the term of imputation, it will not be possible to unerringly understand the true state of affairs, if you say so. It is not so, because even if it is imputed by the mind, terms that accord with meaning enter into the true state of affairs. How so? The nature of the true state of affairs, existing in the nature of turning away from all non-natures, is not imputed by the mind. Such a nature, the ultimate of being different from others, relying on the exclusion of others from the self-character of things, appears in the face of conceptual thought as limited aspects such as sound is produced and impermanent. Due to its power, in the consciousness of conceptual thought, appearing as the way of appearing as different aspects, appearing as the way of dharma and dharmic, that is the basis of terms. If there is no basis, like sound is permanent, it is not merely an imputation of the mind, therefore it does not deceive meaning. Secondly, then, the statement that sound is permanent, because it is not not-everything, is different from sound itself being posited as a sign, knowledge.

If it is said that it can be established? This reason is because it is established by different terms of opposites, and is not related to the mind that appears as different. Just like what is made and sound, it cannot appear as different opposites, because how can non-sound of non-sound appear as different from sound? Because the true meaning of double negation is understood, even if the words are different, the meaning will become multiple, and there is no difference in opposites. Therefore, by making the Dharma-possessor sound itself as the establisher, it is shown that it has not been established as the knower. Second, there are debates and refutations on the differences of the nature sign. Establish the general sign as a cause for debate, and establish the difference sign to refute the debate. First, there are debates and refutations on things and it. First, if so, the thing of sound as the Dharma-possessor is impermanent, because it is a thing. Like this reason, the inference is not established as the correct knower, because it is the same as the previous fault. It is not like this, because from the perspective of the opposite, it can become the knowable and the knower, so the difference and the general Dharma are different opposites, so it can become the cause and the Dharma-possessor. For example, just because it is born of diligence, it is established that the sound born of diligence is impermanent. Among them, things are general aspects, and things of sound are differences. Similarly, diligence-born is a general aspect, and the sound of diligence-born is its difference, because the opposites are different, so in the general thing and the cause of diligence-born, and the established proposition of impermanence, the pervasiveness of following and reversing is established. And, on the Dharma-possessor sound, that cause establishes pervasiveness, so it is only established as the knower. Second, debate and refute, even if it is a part, it does not harm. It is reasonable that it is not a part of the part. First, when the sound born of diligence is taken as the Dharma-possessor, and the diligence-born is established as the cause, the diligence-born itself is a part or a part of the established proposition, that is, a part, so if a part of the established proposition can be established as the cause, then it is unreasonable to blame others for faults before. It is not like this, if when establishing the sound born of diligence, even if the diligence-born is a part of the Dharma-possessor sound, that cause does not cause any harm to the sound establishing impermanence. Because, the Dharma-possessor sound and the cause diligence-born are not established as different, for example, Haཅ
