and not a basis for refutation. The reasoning of reality also becomes deeper and deeper into the profound essence of the two truths, so it is necessary to enter the ultimate state of the four reliances in accordance with the order of the vehicle. It seems common in the degenerate age to abandon the scriptures of the Mahayana with only a superficial understanding. Although those people are named Mahayana, they cannot be called speakers of the Mahayana reasoning, but are merely arrogant due to their own conceit. If one thinks that even if it is harmed by valid cognition, it should not be abandoned because it is one's own scripture, even if "one's own scripture" has not been established, what can reason do when one stubbornly follows the traces of habitual tendencies? It is difficult even for great beings to lead those who have been bewildered by the demons of philosophical tenets onto the path, so it is appropriate to remain neutral, let alone ordinary people. However, by properly examining the immaculate reasoning of the great charioteers, the light of intelligence will become brighter and brighter, and one will be able to taste the essence of the nectar of the Dharma, the profound intention of the Buddha. Therefore, by properly examining with the four reasonings, generate the four reliances, and until the ultimate stage of the order of the vehicle, perfect the body of intelligence and accomplish the eye of wisdom. This is said as a supplementary explanation. Second, among these, impermanence is what is to be refuted, and explaining the merits of space is not a refutation, but if the merits of space are blocked after impermanence is proven, because it violates the meaning of the scriptures that one has promised, even if it is not related to the occasion of what is to be proven and the meaning of the scriptures such as the merits of space, will it hinder the accomplishment of what is to be proven? If one thinks that even if it is irrelevant, the meaning of the scriptures will hinder, then all things to be proven will be hindered by their respective different meanings of the scriptures, because only the words of the scriptures can hinder reality. If one thinks that everything else will not hinder, but only the meaning of the scriptures that one has promised will hinder, then even if one aspect of the meaning of the scriptures, such as blocking the merits of the questioner, hinders other unrelated things, it will lead to the failure of what is to be proven, so nothing to be proven can be accomplished. If it is said that the merits of space are related to sound, because it is the dharma of sound, it will hinder the impermanence itself to be proven.

If someone asks: Is that so? It is not so, because whether the occasion is related to the object to be proven or not, is the relationship between that reason and the object to be proven that if there is, there is, and if there is not, there is not, therefore all things that are put forward as reasons, depend on their respective objects to be proven, and if there is no connection, it appears like a fault that cannot be established, and if there is a correct connection, then it has the merit of being able to establish, and is correct, therefore the only thing that needs to be examined is this, as for other connections, there is no need to examine them in this occasion. Even so, just as impermanence does not arise without things, if there is no space element, the relationship that the object to be proven, such as sound, will not arise, is not recognized by measurement here. To harm the space element, here it will only become a fault of harming the scriptures that claim it, and there is no harm to the meaning of reason, therefore, the reason is inconsistent with the meaning of the scriptures, it is also the same as that reason denying the merit of the question, therefore, even if it causes harm to the meaning of such scriptures, the correct reason will not fail to establish the object to be proven. Or, establish the object to be proven as sound is impermanent, if there is no space element, it will not arise, it is not so, because that is its opposite, just as cold touch does not arise without hot touch. Therefore, how can this unrelatedness harm the reason established by measurement? Just as fire is established as hot, cold cannot hinder it. So it is said. Second, refuting the view that all the meanings of one's own scriptures are the objects to be proven in the occasion. It is divided into establishing the proposition and refuting it. First, some commentators of the Compendium say this: If the scriptures are what one has already acknowledged as measurement, then everything that is shown and stated in the scriptures must also be the object to be proven in that occasion, if it contradicts this, then that argument will also overthrow one's own sect, therefore it will become a fault. This person believes that in the occasion of force, the scriptures are the establisher, even if the reason and the meaning of the scriptures are not all the same, they must be established, but one cannot establish a reason that contradicts the object to be proven in the scriptures. Second, it is divided into: the example is not established, the proposition is contradicted; the statement of one's own voice becomes meaningless. First, it is divided into: establishing the fault and refuting the answer. First, the debater's own inten
