There is no other reason that can be established, because the combination of self and mind, etc., is not the cause, and the ability to generate wisdom in such a situation has never been seen. That is, as long as these three conditions are gathered, they will definitely arise, and if they are not gathered, they will not arise. If other causes are recognized besides these, the causes will become endless. Because that reason is mistaken in establishing what is to be proven, the senses are not a correct reason. If you say: Because there are senses, there is one's own wisdom. Just as in the case of sleep and fainting, etc., although there are senses, it is not certain that there is wisdom. If things are stated, the senses will also be mistaken in the same way, just as just because there is blue, it is not certain that there is blue perception. Wisdom and attention are knowledge, and that knowledge is what is to be proven in this case, so it is not established in itself. Because the essence of the reason—knowledge itself—has never been explicitly proven, it is not the reason itself. Because the reason itself is not established, it cannot establish other things. To this, some people think that even if wisdom does not have the manifestation of knowing itself by itself at the time of its existence, it can be manifested by later knowledge. This is actually forgetting one's own tenets. Because how can something that does not exist at the time of its existence appear clearly, and there is not even a memory? Because it has been admitted that the thing to be remembered, that is, the previous knowledge, cannot be experienced by oneself. Moreover, the later knowledge also has no image, how does it take the previous knowledge as an object? This has not been investigated. Second, things are not suitable as reasons, and wisdom is not suitable as reasons. First, state the reasons and conclude. First, examine what is the manifestation of things, is it wisdom or things. Examine whether that thing is known or not known. First, If it is wisdom, then it is not established, if it is a thing, then it is not reasonable. First. If you say that it is not just the thing itself that is taken as the reason, but the special manifestation of the thing is taken as the reason, then does this manifestation of the thing refer to what is manifested in wisdom and established through experience? Or what is the essence of the thing itself that does not depend on wisdom? If it is the former, then the thing that is manifested in wisdom is nothing other than being manifested in the image of that wisdom, which has been proven, so is it not knowledge? If it is, then wisdom itself is manifested there, because wisdom itself is established, it will become self-evident. This reason also negates taking the thing that is manifested through knowledge as the reason, because that kind of manifestation that is not knowledge
