Pages 601 to 700 Pages 601 to 700 Therefore, merely seeing that object, there is no need to use the terms knowing and not knowing, although this is similar, it is understandable that you use knowledge to call "other-knowing". If you measure what "other-knowing" is like, there is nothing other than experiencing the meaning, then this is also similar to the inner wisdom, therefore, even if you want to use words without examination, it is meaningless to specifically deny self-knowing. In the sayings of worldly elders, it is also common to say "one's own mind knows itself." Therefore, just like a lamp, because it is born with the nature of light, it is an illuminator. It does not need to rely on other conditions to make itself fully manifest. Wherever it is, it manifests itself there. Therefore, the lamp is not only the illuminator of external objects such as vases, but is also considered to be the illuminator of its own essence. Such statements are consistent with reality, therefore, wisdom is also self-aware. Wisdom is the opposite of unclear natures such as ignorance, and merely arising as light can make both the object and the subject appear, so it is believed. In reality, the lamp does not illuminate by making the lamp its object, but the lamp itself does not need another illuminator to illuminate itself, which is undeniable. Calling "oneself illuminates oneself" is also an expression of this meaning, so such a statement is undeniable. In this regard, according to the translation of Lhawang Lodro's commentary: "How the illuminator, its nature is light, Because it is the nature of light, it is established as illumination. Thus the wise one, is the one with self-knowledge." Second, the object of knowledge of knowledge If it is a different thing from oneself, then it is difficult to establish as the felt and the feeler. Because for things without form, there is no relationship between the object and the subject, therefore everything experienced by wisdom will be interrupted. If it is admitted that the aggregation of object, sense, and consciousness is the cause of wisdom, it is also unreasonable. Because if you want to grasp the present object as formless, then the sense, object, and consciousness at that time are simultaneous, therefore they are not the only cause of each other, so this knowledge of knowing the object is also interdependent arising from relying on the sense and the object.
