Although the opponent argues that destruction is not real and cannot be established by direct perception, all refutations are established by non-apprehension, so it is established by non-apprehension after the last moment. According to their view, the three-part valid cognition is also impossible, and destruction and annihilation have the same meaning, so there is no contradiction in calling cessation impermanence. Because both having the nature of destruction and annihilation can be expressed by this term, this is undeniable. However, although destruction is not real and not a thing, the thing itself does not remain in the second moment, so relative to that time, it is destruction. Even when it is established itself, it cannot remain in the second moment, which is the nature of things, so those who think that destruction is another meaning cannot harm the view that there is no other destruction outside of things. If the compounded and the nature of the compounded are other meanings, then the self-nature of the compounded will become non-compounded, just as if heat is different from fire, then fire will not be heat. Therefore, if it becomes impermanence of other meaning, then the reasoning that refutes the rationalists will also be refuted in common, so there is no special refutation, but only the terms recognized by one's own sect are stated, that is, the word impermanence is used for destruction, and at the end of the continuous cessation, it is only determined that there is no reason for non-apprehension, so there is no contradiction, so it is explained in this way. Second, state the opponent's view and ask a question, and then point out the logical harm in it. First, for the non-Buddhist rationalists, in their sect, the existence limited by two boundaries, or the existence that is consistent with impermanence, has a way of expressing that includes association, which is the word of impermanence itself. For this view, ask what is meant by the boundary of existence? This is because the rationalists' intention is that mere existence is not impermanent, because permanent things such as space, direction, and self will also become impermanent. Therefore, any existence limited by two boundaries is impermanent. For this special existence, its impermanence is related to the consistent inclusion, so it is reasonable to say the impermanence of things and other related words, but for things that are not related, this is unreasonable, such as the impermanence of space or the non-real.

It is just like not saying it is permanent. Such a relationship is also unrelated to all existing things, and it is thought that it is related to the special existence that is cut off by the two ends. The root of the view that the essence and impermanence of these things are different in meaning lies in the fact that in the expression "the impermanence of things," the dharma and the possessor of dharma are different in concept, and the mind is confused by merely clinging to words, and it is not understood that the bottle and impermanence are one in essence, but only have different focuses. Second, refute the view that there is no beginning or end (time). Refute the view that cause and effect are two ends. First, if you ask what is meant by end? If a thing has no before or after, then what is there to ask? For example, a bottle, before it is produced, there is no before, and after it is destroyed, there is no after, then the current bottle that is in between the two is what exists. If you ask, aren't those two ends of before and after impermanent? They will say, those two ends are merely non-existence, and there is no connection between the existing thing and non-existence, therefore the sixth case and other grammars cannot be used, so that is not impermanent. Like this, "the impermanence of things" is the sixth case, "for things to be impermanent" is the seventh case, "impermanence arises from things" is the fifth case, "things are impermanent" is stating the possessor of dharma, "impermanent things" is the sixth case qualified by impermanence, if you see these usages, because related words are used for unrelated things, it is not allowed. If that is the case, then how can related words be used for ends? Because the two are the same. Therefore, "the non-existence of things before" or "the non-existent things before" and "the non-existent things after" etc., and "the end of things" and "the things qualified by the end," "the existence cut off by the two ends" etc., will all become impossible to express. The existence itself that is not related to the end, and the existence that is related to it is also permanent, therefore the existence qualified by the end will not become impermanent, because there is no connection. Therefore, if the existing thing itself is not of the nature of impermanence, then other things cannot make it impermanent, because the very nature of existence excludes impermanence.
