The apprehension of "it is that" refers to the fact that what was previously apprehended by direct perception is again apprehended by the thought of "it is that," therefore it is a decisive cognition, not considered to be a valid cognition itself. Moreover, the impermanence of a thing is not different from the thing itself, just as color itself is not different from color. Similarly, the fact that color does not remain for a moment is not different from it. Such a final moment of color, for example, has already been established by the decisive cognition from the direct perception of the sense faculty itself. Therefore, decisive cognition does not perform any new function of being non-deceptive, and there is no reason to obtain the characteristic of a valid cognition. Secondly: There is no harm in considering the destruction of a thing as one with it; there is no harm in considering the destruction of a thing as different from it. First: It is not permissible to express it with different words, and it is not permissible to abandon the application of subsequent inference. First: In expressing that impermanence is not different from a thing, those who consider a thing and its destruction as different say: In that case, it is not permissible to express a thing and impermanence with different words, and it is unreasonable that a thing does not need to be established by a sign, while impermanence needs to be established by a sign. To this, the use of different words such as color and impermanence is not because the two have many things in terms of meaning and are made the object of expression. Although they are not separate in meaning, the way they are established as subject and predicate through the aspect of reversal is a dharma that is generated by or imputed by conceptualization, like a different entity, and is the object of expression by words. This has already been extensively explained earlier. Second: A brief explanation and a detailed explanation. First: Although color and impermanence do not exist separately in meaning, it is not contradictory that impermanence needs to be established by inference, because although it has been established as inseparable in meaning, inference eliminates the superimposition that could not be determined due to the cause of confusion. How is it? Just as when the self-character of words and colors, which are the basis of the general characteristics such as impermanence that appear before the conceptual mind, is established, just as when fire is established and heat is established, the meaning of impermanence, etc., which appears as a general characteristic before the conceptual mind, is also established by its own nature. And when it is seen by direct perception, since there is no difference in meaning, there is nothing left over. What new nature of meaning does inference newly establish in it? Inference is only a cause for knowing, not a thing.

Oh, this is the cause of generating impermanence. Therefore, impermanence is established simultaneously with the establishment of things, but when the mind does not establish or is uncertain about impermanence due to being misled by illusion, in order to know or ascertain that the previously established impermanence is fully established in that thing, subsequent inference is applied to eliminate the inverted clinging. Second, inference is applied to uncertainty. If there is no cause of illusion, it is not needed. First, the situation of seeing but not being certain. Therefore, inference is applied. First, the uncertain situation of external and internal. First, there is a cause of illusion externally, uncertain. If it is not there, then the situation of certainty. First, even though it has been seen with direct perception, there is still a reason for uncertainty. Because similar moments before and after exist without interruption, sometimes the nature of the arising and ceasing of moments before and after is not fully known when the reason is not examined, because the mind is mistaken that before and after are one. For example, like a juggler quickly throwing and catching two balls, unable to distinguish the difference between the eggs and confusing each other, although the moments before and after things are different, even if that difference is seen directly, the mind does not see the difference, but rather the thought "This is the previous one" arises, clinging to it as one. Second, like this, if there is no cause of illusion, even without a sign, beings from the wise to the children can completely determine the destruction of lamps, sounds, and lightning, etc., which have no connection or connection with their own continuation in later generations, all of which are extinguished. Therefore, because there is no cause of illusion, only direct perception can generate the experience of certainty of impermanence, because the nature of each moment is different, so the previous moments are also the same as the way they are seen. Second, the situation of uncertainty due to the weakness of the inner mind is that seeds have the ability to produce sprouts, etc. If the ability of things is grasped with direct perception, why is it uncertain? Because there is no cause of illusion externally? If asked in this way, the ability is not different from things and exists, if it is different, that thing will never produce fruit, and that ability will also
