Although it is assumed that sound is permanent in order to establish the agreement with the thesis, merely establishing it as an agreement does not accomplish the meaning. And so on, everything that lacks proof and is merely based on one's own wishes should be included, because I have promised from the heart, and because it is stated in the scriptures. If things could be established in this way by one's own fabrications, then sound would be impermanent, because it is either a property of the thesis or in agreement with the thesis, and if the statements in the scriptures, etc., are used as reasons, impermanence could also be established, and thus everything would be established. Thirdly, if a related dharma is reversed, it is understood that another related dharma is also reversed. In this case, if the pervasive dharma is reversed, it is considered an indicator of the reversal of the pervaded, just as when a tree is reversed, the resin is also reversed. Similarly, when the cause is reversed, the effect is also reversed, because without a cause, the effect cannot exist, so the cause is the pervader of the reason for the existence of the effect. When does it become an indicator? If the reversal of the pervaded itself is cut off in some form of time and place, or if the reversal of the pervader is taken as the reason, etc., and the form of the reason and the reasoned is completely cut off, then it is an indicator. For example, when there is no tree, all the distinctions of the tree do not exist. If one thinks that because there is no tree, there is no resin, then the reversal of the pervader is an indicator of the absence of resin. If one thinks that there is no cedar, then one knows that it is an indicator of the absence of cedar. It is said that "ཤ་པ་(Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning)" refers to resin, that is, resin tree, which is the name of agarwood. Secondly, the non-observation of the nature of an observable object: If one says that the absence of a valid cognition of an observable object such as a pot is the reason for the absence of the object, then the opponent is very foolish. Even if an observable object is not observed, the name of absence is not used. Like the Samkhya school, which says that the effect exists in the cause, it is to establish the name of definite absence. If merely the object or thing of a name does not exist, it is very famous among black women, and if one tries to establish it with a reason, it would be too extreme. In any place where a pot is not observed, or where there is no valid cognition of the observer, then relying on that, one experiences "there is no pot here" through self-awareness, which arises without needing to rely on a reason. However, the philosophical schools

For those with clouded minds, even if an obvious thing is not observed, they do not necessarily assume it does not exist, so they do not use that term, which is to dispel their confusion. Therefore, when eye consciousness observes the shape of a vase, one experiences for oneself that this vase is of such shape and color, without needing to ask or explain to others. The arising of such a mind is from the experience of self-awareness. Experiencing that there is no cloth on the vase is because self-awareness experiences that no thought of cloth being on the vase has ever arisen in one's own continuum, thus experiencing that the object does not have that form. Therefore, for these meanings of existence and non-existence, this experience of thinking that it is determined by mental direct perception is undeniable by anyone. This is because self-awareness makes it clear to oneself what thoughts have arisen and have not arisen in one's own continuum, thereby making a determination. It is like experiencing whether there is or is not deception, etc., in one's own mind. Through such experience, all terms such as the existence or non-existence of things are made, as previously said, "For things to be accepted or rejected, entering into them, this is the most important." This point is very important. Second, summarizing the points. The sign of non-observation, which is what will be explained, in all cases, has the result of certainly negating the object of negation, or is capable of proving non-existence. What is that? It is that which is considered to be the appearance of things, not observing its cause, or its nature, or its pervasion, because these two are its nature, so not observing it, or it is simply not appearing. Not observing the result, although it is a sign of preventing the unimpeded ability of the cause, it is usually not certain to be merely the cause, and the three just mentioned will become negative signs without any exception. Second, for the certainty of knowledge other than inference not being a valid cognizer, refuting the arguments about things and it. First, inferring from signs, thinking that colors, etc., are impermanent, etc., for the way of reasoning just mentioned, although inference combines impermanence, etc., with its own real object, because here it is considered to be a valid cognizer that does not deceive self-characteristics, so thinking that colors, etc., are impermanent is not an extremely combined valid cognizer, nor is it the third type. In addition, not relying on signs, but directly seeing the cessation of things through direct perception, thereby directly concluding that color is impermanent.
