Because it exists now. Second, refuting the proof of no rebirth, establishing the proof of the existence of rebirth, revealing the faults of no rebirth. First, wind and so on are not reasonable as the cause of afflictions. By this, it is also refuted that they are considered to be the cause of arising. First, brief explanation and detailed explanation. First, the Lokayata says, attachment and so on are not born from the beginningless similar previous lineage, but are the qualities of the body's elements such as wind. If you say, how does ignorance and samsara arise from the element of wind, anger and wisdom etc. from bile, and attachment, stinginess, love etc. from phlegm? Because of the confusion of following and reversing, attachment and so on are not the qualities of those faults such as wind, because just having those faults does not necessarily mean that there is attachment and so on, and when those faults are reduced and reversed from before, it is not established that attachment and so on also reverse. Why? Because it is seen that some people have a large proportion of phlegm, but have little desire, and have great wisdom and anger etc. Among them, those with a large proportion of phlegm are those with white skin, full body, sleepy, difficult to move, and so on. Those with a large proportion of bile are those with yellow skin, smelly body, high temperature, and so on. Those with a large proportion of wind are those with thin flesh, black skin, light movement, talkative, and so on. Second, the reason for refutation and dissimilarity to oneself. First, it becomes the fault of confusing cause and effect, it becomes the fault of reversing cause and effect, it becomes the fault of definitely determining one result. First, if you say that the three, wind, bile, and phlegm, reside mixed in nature, therefore it is impossible to have a single person, so even a phlegmatic person can see other qualities, therefore there is no fault as just mentioned. If you see the quality of that cause, anger etc., why don't you see that quality, which is more other than the previous quality, such as odor and coarseness? If you don't see it, how do you know that the cause is a large proportion of bile? If you establish that this is the quality of phlegm because you see attachment in a full body, then the reason for establishing a large proportion of phlegm is only seeing that quality. Other bile etc. are the same as this, therefore even if you don't establish a person with a large proportion of phlegm as having a large proportion of bile, it will become a large proportion of bile, then

The nature of wind, bile, and phlegm, whether large or small, can never be determined. In that case, it is also impossible to establish their respective dharmas. If you say that the dharmas of wind, etc., are not determined separately as ignorance, etc., but that all three together arise from the assembly, and from this arise all things like attachment, then it follows that all beings should be equal without any difference in terms of attachment, hatred, pride, wisdom, etc., because there is no difference in the cause that determines each separately, and all are the same in possessing all the causes of all. Therefore, attachment, etc., are not the common dharma of all three poisons. If you say that although the four great elements as causes have no difference, there are various differences in the forms, smells, etc., that arise from them, so there is no fault, then if those forms, etc., also do not have past actions as the master cause that makes them have different differences, then it is unreasonable to have differences there as well, and this argument is the same for you. These external forms, etc., are different because they have their own seeds and the karmic conditions of beings as auxiliary causes. Moreover, the great elements themselves also have increases and decreases in color, etc. If the forms, etc., of internal beings are not due to the difference in the cause of the ripening result, but only due to the great elements, then it will fall into the fault of having no difference, and both of these should be understood. If you also think that attachment, etc., are the nature, that is, the dharma of all three poisons, then, since the causal body does not have the nature of having no power of attachment, etc., what is the cause of this unequal result, the difference in the amount of attachment, etc.? So it is said. This single verse does not appear in the main text, but is a word from the Ornament of Valid Cognition. Furthermore, if you say that wind, bile, and phlegm, when they have not become diseases, and when they have become diseases and have differences in size, but attachment, etc., do not have such differences, so that is not its dharma, but if it were, it would be reasonable to follow it like a lamp and light. If you say that just as there are differences in various diseases, there are also many differences in one fault, so there is no fault, then since there are many in one, either everything changes at once, or one does not change into another. That reason is not established, for example, if bile increases excessively and becomes a disease, then hatred arises from suffering, so you think.
