Therefore, these two arguments must occur. These two, the benefactor and the teacher, are said to be the proof or cause of their birth as reliable persons, so when they are presented as proofs, they should be regarded as causes. Second, regarding the result: it is said that self-benefit is perfect, the Sugata; it is said that other-benefit is perfect, the Protector. First, there are two types: concise and detailed. First, one might wonder, how are they proven to be reliable persons from these two arguments? Because they possess unerring vision and abide in the unwavering state of perfect benefit for themselves and others, they are called that. Self-benefit is perfect because they have completely abandoned the cause of suffering, and therefore possess the distinction of three qualities, which is called the Sugata. If derived from the sound of Sugata (Sanskrit Devanagari: सुगत, Sanskrit Romanization: sugata, Chinese literal meaning: Well Gone), it means well-gone, gone without returning, and gone completely, possessing these three distinctions, hence the name. Second, there are three: well-gone, non-returning, and completely gone. First, because at no time does it become a basis for suffering such as birth, it is called well, beautiful, praised, gone, or abandoned. From what is this? Because the selflessness that eliminates the root of all suffering is seen as certain by reasoning in the path of seeing, or seen and accustomed to in the path of meditation, or perfected spontaneously from practice. Thus, not being a basis for suffering is praiseworthy, and going there by the means established by reasoning is called gone, just as a person's body is beautiful because it is not mixed with contaminated faults. This distinguishes it from other outsiders, etc. Second, what is returning like? And why does non-returning not return? Because the faults such as attachment, which are the cause of rebirth in samsara and birth there, have not been abandoned, those that arise completely again are said to return again. But the Buddha, because he has completely abandoned the seed of self-grasping from its root, has made the nature of the Dharma such that even the slightest fault of all suffering does not arise, therefore he is truly non-returning. Why is it impossible for faults to arise again? Because the Buddha's wisdom is without limit on the meaning of the true nature of reality.

Having entered into it. Aims and forms that are contrary or different from this never arise, exist, or have the opportunity for it. It exists in such a state of mind, just as the sky is not stained by color, or the center of the sun is never occupied by darkness. This shows that it is superior to entering the stream, etc., just as a disease does not recur after it has been completely cured. Third, regarding things and the refutation of arguments about them. First, what is known as the evil place of body, speech, and mind? Its nature is without the afflictions of samsara, that is, it is not afflictive; nor is it the basis for diseases of suffering such as birth, that is, it is without disease. Such evil places are not abandoned by the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Arhats. For example, evil places of the body include jumping and encountering fierce elephants, etc.; evil places of speech include talking to prostitutes, laughing like a horse, calling others low castes, etc., which are all spoken under the influence of non-specified minds; the mind is not constantly abiding, so the mind at the time of non-specification is like getting lost in a dense forest, and even if it abides, it knows nothing, so the mind of the evil place arises, and these are called non-afflictive ignorance. Such evil places, and the lack of clarity in the ultimate explanation of the three vehicles, are left unabandoned by those Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Arhats. But the Buddha, the Bhagavan, because he is very familiar with selflessness, even the subtle habits of the view of self are abandoned, so such evil places, etc., all the remaining to be abandoned are abandoned, just like a vase is completely filled. Second, it is divided into two parts: brief instruction and detailed explanation. First, some people, such as royal diviners, etc., say that because they speak, have bodies, have minds, and enjoy food and clothing, etc., all faults such as desire are not completely exhausted. However, such a reason also has the fault of exhaustion in dissimilar aspects, so there is no contradiction, so there is doubt as to whether it is established, so it is confusing to establish this point. Second, what is the reason why it is impossible to completely abandon it? Is it because faults such as desire are constant, so they will become impossible to abandon? Or
