Since the correct view contradicts it, it is therefore completely proven that all faults such as attachment, which are rooted in or dependent on the self-view, are also contradictory. Therefore, it is reasonable to cut off all faults from the root by becoming accustomed to the view of emptiness. Third, all faults subside for a while, but are not completely exhausted forever, because the nature or essence of sentient beings is such. For example, just as whiteness and so on are the nature of form, like the heat of fire. If someone thinks like that, it is not right, because it has not been established as the nature of sentient beings. Why? Because when the opponent's side, such as selflessness, is connected with the sentient beings' continuum, those faults in the mind continuum also subside, which can be seen through measurement. Therefore, it is not established as its nature, because if it were its nature, it would not be possible to subside even if it were connected with the opponent. Therefore, just as some places near fire do not have cold touch, for some differences in the continuum accustomed to the opponent, those faults may subside. Therefore, it cannot be established that as long as it is a sentient being, it must have faults. Fourth, if in some continuums, faults are completely stopped for a while, it is possible to be completely exhausted, but the faults that have already stopped are like melted gold and so on, hardness disappears forever, but when separated from the fire, hardness appears again. The faults that have been completely exhausted by the opponent will not arise again in a returning manner. Because the opponent is inseparable from the nature or essence of the mind, and the object to be abandoned has been completely cut off without any remainder, then it will never exist in that continuum. For example, just as fire has burned the wood and turned into ashes, it is impossible to turn back into wood, from the perspective of the object to be abandoned, it is not necessarily returned. Second, from the perspective that other paths besides realizing selflessness are not like this: it is impossible to be liberated while clinging to self, denying the existence of other paths to liberation. The first part, explaining the entity and its reasons. First, if it is said that liberation can also be achieved by meditating on self, then what is the use of meditating on selflessness? Similarly, if it is thought that other paths to liberation, such as meditating on suffering and practicing asceticism, do not exist, that is not right. Apart from meditating on selflessness, other paths to liberation do not exist while clinging to self. Because if someone thinks that there is a self with inverted wisdom

The ignorant always cling to the subject as the basis, and because of clinging, they want to make themselves happy, thus generating craving for the basis, which obscures the faults of the subject and what belongs to the subject, not seeing them as faults but as virtues, thus giving rise to strong craving. "Mine," they will accept all the supporting conditions or methods that can make the subject happy, therefore, as long as there is strong clinging to the subject, beings will wander in samsara. If there is a cognition of the subject, then there will be a cognition of others towards certain things. From distinguishing the subject and the other as a dualistic opposition, attachment to one's own side and hatred towards the other side will arise, and in association with these attachments and hatreds, all faults such as pride and jealousy will arise. Second, it is impossible to be without attachment to things that are merely mine. Even if there is, the liberated subject will become meaningless. Therefore, it is advised to abandon self-grasping. First, it is divided into three parts: summary, detailed explanation, and conclusion. First, if it is said that yogis who have abandoned attachment only cling to the subject, and have no attachment to all external objects that are considered to belong to the subject, thus gaining freedom, this is impossible. Because attachment to the subject is necessarily inseparable from attachment to what belongs to the subject. Those who claim that there is a subject, because they cling to the subject as being without fault, in their view, there is no reason to abandon attachment to the subject, that is, it is impossible to abandon attachment to the subject until the view of the existence of the subject is abandoned. Second, refutation of abandoning attachment by seeing faults. Refutation of abandoning attachment by practicing suffering. First, merely seeing faults cannot abandon it. It will also lead to the fault of having no fault. First, if the subject itself is not at fault, but attachment to it is at fault, then what is the use of knowing that it is at fault? If the answer is that knowing it is at fault can abandon attachment to the subject, that is not correct. Because it is impossible to abandon attachment as the object-possessor without refuting the subject that is the object of attachment. The reason is that for any thing that has merit or fault, and the object-possessor related to that thing, such as desire, hatred, miserliness, and jealousy, to abandon them, one must first
