Those who have been completely purified by mothers and others, and whose attraction of inexhaustible causes has not ended, remain in existence as long as it exists before other sentient beings. Secondly, a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. First, if the cause of samsara, the view of the collection of destruction, is liberated, then the stream-enterer who has attained the path of seeing, will there be no existence in the first path of transcendence? Although he has abandoned all imputed ego-grasping, he still has birth in other places because he has not abandoned the co-emergent. When the co-emergent is abandoned, where does existence exist? It will not become existence. Secondly, the nature of the co-emergent view of self is shown, and the reason why existence does not exist without it. First, what is the co-emergent view of self? When the desire to be happy or not to suffer arises, the mind that arises spontaneously as the basis of these two, the thought of "I am," is called the co-emergent view of self, either as "I" or as a sentient being or as "self." Secondly, when the meaning of seeing selflessness becomes familiar, such co-emergence will also turn into regression. At that time, because there is no seeing of "I," there will be no attachment to the self with the thought of "I am." Because there is no craving for the self, there will also be no desire for that self to meet with happiness and manifest running towards existence. Secondly, it is unreasonable to have self and bondage liberation. The permanent self has no bondage liberation, and the inexpressible self has none of that. First, if there is no permanent self as the basis of bondage and liberation, then there is no bondage, so there is no sufferer. Who will enjoy the great happiness of later liberation? It is like putting someone in prison and freeing them from chains without giving them to God. Therefore, is the self the only basis for bondage and liberation? Such a permanent self is not reasonable as the basis for bondage and liberation, because no bondage or liberation can benefit or harm it. How is it? The basis or cause of the arising of suffering is bondage, but what is the cause of bondage for the permanent? There is no cause for suffering to arise again, or the basis is liberation, but what is the cause of non-arising for the permanent? There is no possibility of existence. Therefore, how can it be the basis for bondage and liberation? It is not possible. Two

The Sarvastivadins say: There must be a self as the basis for bondage and liberation and karma and its result, but it cannot be said to be either permanent or impermanent. Whatever cannot be said to be impermanent is not the cause of anything, because the cause of arising pervades momentariness. Therefore, if it is not impermanent, how can it be the agent, the experiencer, the basis of bondage and liberation? It does not do anything as the basis for these. If you think that even if it is not impermanent, it is not permanent either, so there are no two faults, then for something that cannot be said at all, the so-called bondage and liberation do not exist either, it is just a verbal expression, but in reality, as the basis of bondage and liberation, there is not even a particle. Since contradictions have never been established on the same thing, like the son of a barren woman, such a self cannot be the agent. They say: If there is no it, the agent and the experiencer cannot be the same, the result of karma will be in vain, and since the states of bondage and liberation are different, it is meaningless to strive on the path. If the agent is the inexpressible self, and it is the experiencer of the result, and it is the liberator of the time of bondage, then the previous one must be permanent, because the nature of any dharma will not change from the previous nature, so for something that does not perish, the wise who understand reason will strongly call it permanent, and apart from that, there is no basis for establishing the name of permanent. Therefore, give up this shameless view of gathering contradictions on the same thing, and simply say that the self is permanent, which is better than the previous commitment. Therefore, what is the use of quibbling on words like a child's play? Even if you say that, in reality, there cannot be such a self as the basis of bondage and liberation. Or, if you must admit that the agent is the cause, then it will become impermanent. If so: Whatever has a nature that will perish, the wise call it impermanent. Therefore, give up this shameless view, and simply say that it is impermanent. Thus, reciting will be successful. In this way, by explaining the refutation, other aspects such as peace will also be understood. Fourth, about the path: Selflessness is the path to eternal liberation, and there is no other path than that. First, about.
