We also believe that body and mind are inseparable. Therefore, if the body is destroyed, the mind will also be destroyed, is that so? Body and mind are not inseparable, because the mind that has not been deluded will recognize that appearances are different, therefore, the five elements and mind are proven to be different. The reason is established, because one's own mind also experiences that it is not accumulated by dust, but has the nature of attachment and so on, while the body is considered to have the opposite nature. In addition, the happiness and pain experienced by oneself are only known to oneself and cannot be shown to others. One's own body can be seen not only by oneself but also by others. Similarly, others can see one's own body, or one can see the body of others, but it is impossible for minds to see each other, so there is a mind that is different from the body. If they are not different, merely seeing the body will allow one to understand the mind, and one will not think about what kind of thoughts this person has in mind. Or, just as the mind cannot be seen, the body will also not be seen or understood. Nor will one think about whether this person has a mind or not based on the presence or absence of movement, etc. Similarly, one will not say that one cannot know what one is thinking in one's mind without telling the other person, because merely showing the body will achieve the purpose, and so on, there are countless faults. If one thinks that body and mind are one like this, then as long as the body does not become different from before, the shape of the body, etc., will not appear in different states, and similarly, the essence of the mind will also remain unchanged, because the two are inseparable. Even so, in the absence of difference in the body, various thoughts arise following the changes in external things, which is completely dominated by external circumstances, what is the reason for this? This is impossible. Or, if it is said that the arising of various thoughts is due to being close to things, then how can the mind with thoughts be dominated by the self-characteristics of things? It arises merely based on the general characteristics of things, and without relying on the body and things, some people also explain it this way.", "original_tibetan_continued": "་རིགས་ཀྱི་རྒྱུན་གཅིག་པ་ཡིན་ནམ་མིན་ཞེས་དྲིས་པའི་ལན་དུ།", "chinese_translation_continued": "第二,如果按照你的说法,存在与身体不同的意识,那么意识本身的", "english_translation_continued": "Second, if according to you, there is a consciousness that is different from the body, then the consciousness itself
