None. State what is harmful to the acceptance of that desire. First, having intelligence or having faculties, and speaking, and the person himself, and so on, the word 'having hands' and so on, which are characteristics of other people, are used as signs, and that person is not outstanding, like a person on a great path, so whatever is said as proof is an uncertain reason, an appearance like a valid cognition, because it has a remainder of doubt about the inverse pervasion, so the meaning of what is to be proven as it is, there is no realization or accomplishment, because even if one has intelligence, the doubt that one is outstanding is not dispelled. Similarly, apply it to the faculties and so on as well. Secondly, the person who determines the meaning of the Vedas is unreasonable, and the meaning of the Vedas is not definitely one, therefore there is no definite conclusion. First, the refutation of the object and its proof. First, the sound of the Vedas does not say, "I am the meaning of this object to be expressed, or I am not the meaning of this object," but the king's diviner and other people investigate, "This meaning is this," so in that case, the king's diviner also has desire and so on, and is not outstanding, because he is similar to a person. Therefore, the king's diviner alone knows the reality of the Vedas, and what reason makes the difference that others do not have, there is no difference. If the king's diviner can know, then others can also know, because the reasons such as being a person himself and being able to speak are the same, so why do you not allow some people who know the meaning beyond the senses to be all people, because they are all the same in every way. Secondly, the opponent says, "If there are many explainers of the Vedas, but like the king's diviner, whose words are seen by the direct subsequent valid cognition as not deceiving, then he knows the meaning of the Vedas without error." It may be allowed to be decided by reason, but it is impossible for those meanings that are very hidden, such as obtaining heaven from Dharma, to have a valid cognition that determines that his words are not deceiving, so how is it determined that the king's diviner and others have spoken the meaning of the Vedas without error? One cannot decide for oneself the meaning that is beyond the senses, King Diviner

Because even yogis cannot do the same. Furthermore, whatever a person's words are, if they are proven not to be deceived by valid cognition, then those words are scripture, because that meaning is established. Therefore, it is meaningless to consider speech that is not made by a person to be a valid scripture. If there could be a person who knows extremely hidden things without relying on scripture, then it would have to be openly admitted that there are some people who understand things beyond the ordinary senses. Secondly, concerning the demonstration that the meaning of the Vedas is not definitively one: There are two, the thing and the obstruction of its proof. First, it is impossible to ever be certain that the meaning taught by the Vedas is this, because kings, diviners, etc., themselves possess desire and senses, etc., and therefore cannot know all things, or other persons are also similar to this, so it is not possible to truly understand the meaning of the Vedas from others either. The Vedas themselves do not say, 'Hey, come here, my meaning is this,' and if it cannot be understood, then the meaning of the Vedas is definitely this, from what cause is it understood, and it is impossible to understand. Therefore, in the Vedas,

Refutation of the opponent's view. First, the meaning of the Vedas, such as burning in fire, etc., is so certain because these words are very famous in the world. However, worldly fame is not entirely certain either, but there are sounds with various meanings. Due to the differences in languages of different regions, even a single sound like fire is considered to have multiple meanings. Since all these have no difference in worldly fame, then just one fame cannot be established as valid cognition. Even if we take the fame of one region as the standard, just like "go" etc., one sound has multiple meanings; like fire and lion, they are also used as names of people, etc., which are not entirely certain. Therefore, even if one name has various expressed meanings, then who is capable of distinguishing which name's meaning stated in the Vedas is this? It must be a sage who can see things beyond the senses, but according to your view, this is not accepted. Furthermore, what is the meaning of expressing a not widely known meaning as "high place" for sexual intercourse, expressing the goddess as the name of a drill or container, and using the word "etc." to call the sacrificial tree used for sacrifice "Bharata," and other pleasure gardens, etc., many sounds expressing other meanings are also seen. These are not widely known in the world, because in the world, the eminence of body, dwelling, and utensils achieved through good deeds is called "high place," and those born from the lineage of gods, possessing female characteristics, are called goddesses, etc. Therefore, the well-known burning and high place, etc., such sounds, for other sounds, will give rise to other discriminations such as eating dog meat and sexual intercourse. Furthermore, the fame spoken of in the world is just the language of people, and if according to your view, this is not accepted as valid cognition, then it is strange to want to understand the meaning of the Vedas from fame. Sometimes it is hated because it is regarded as a fault of human language, and sometimes it is desired because it is regarded as a merit, what is this? It's really strange. Second, the refutation of the opponent's view is: if, as the world says, the meaning of Agni (अग्नि, agni, fire) etc. is burning in fire etc., then the meaning contrary to this, dog
