If someone asks, since after becoming letters, the nature of the letters is no different from sa and ra, and there is no other order. Who says there is no order? Letters are not man-made, but it is said that there is no substantial order in nature, but the imputed order exists in humans. For example, when a person arranges five letters in order, namely two consonants and two vowels with nouns "ཨ་དྲ་ཨཿ"(Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning), the order of these letters arises from the intentional consciousness of the person expressing any order, because it depends entirely on it. That is, when the wisdom focusing on sa and its life a arises simultaneously, then the wisdom focusing on the life-bearing ra and the noun arises sequentially, because the previous wisdom is the direct cause of the latter wisdom, so the latter wisdom arises, and because of the habit of symbols, it arises quickly without effort, and if each letter does not have the intention of expressing desire, then its result will not become the language of letters. Therefore, from the consciousness of intention, the sound of language emitted by stimulating actions, etc., also arises in the same order as the intention. When the sound is spoken in order, the characteristic of the previous letter is that the latter sound is so clearly perceived and determined by the ear consciousness. Since it is the consciousness produced by the previous auditory consciousness, it has a different manifestation for the auditory consciousness. When this sound is heard, the listener understands the order because names and parts of speech, etc., can be determined, but not very quickly. For some very fast sounds, it is necessary to ask again, just as the speaker has spoken in order, but the listener is not sure. Therefore, when the ear consciousness hears the sound in order, relying on the memory of not forgetting the previous sound, afterwards, the shapes of the sounds are all connected, thereby generating the memory focusing on the nature of the symbol, name, word, and language that understands the meaning. This way is the order of the arising of the cause intention, the sound self-characteristic, and the mind that holds its general meaning. It is said that such an order is the order of the cause and effect of letters.

Thus it is said. The cause is the intention to generate everything, and the result is the sound of letters, or the cause is letters and the result is names, etc. The order arranged in this way is just like that. Or, that of cause and grasping consciousness: letters are of cause and result. It is also seen that it is recited like this. Thus, the order of letters is indeed made by a person. Therefore, the nature of letters like ས་ (sa, earth) and ར་ (ra, fire) changes to other meanings from words like ས་ར་ (sara, solid) and ར་སཿ (rasaḥ, taste). Because of the function of the conceptualization of the maker of language, the letters are combined together in different orders, and as a result, they produce different meanings such as taste and ocean. Therefore, although the letters that cause the understanding of different meanings are also different, because of the similarity in shape, the thought of clinging to one letter arises. Thus, the various orders of letters are also in accordance with what a person desires, and can be newly created in a way that has never been done before, or they are autonomous. That is, it can be done without contradicting what a person wants to express, it is an established order, or it is an order that has been established, just like applying according to one's desire to stretch and contract. Therefore, the order does not reside in the nature of the letters themselves. If that were the case, then it would be contradictory to the fact that a person can freely create any order they want. Because if conditioned things, such as mountains, cannot be interchanged in order, or if land and seedlings cannot be reversed, then if there is a constant order, then following one's desire would be contradictory in every way. For that reason, people and letters are established as cause and result. Therefore, all the orders of letters, such as the Vedas, must also arise from the cause, which is the person. This is established by the reasoning of cause and effect following and reversing. For example, just like the reasoning of fire and wood establishing a cause-and-effect relationship. The third is that the person who has the wisdom to know the combination of mantras and the methods of rituals, etc., and who has achieved the power of truth through the blessing of mantras, with the attitude of being able to create the order of letters called mantras, is merely established as being uncommon to other people. Because although other ordinary people can combine words, they do not have such wisdom and power.
