If it is said to be destruction itself, then how can something produced by another thing become the destruction of another thing? Even if it can be considered so, why ask why the tree does not appear? If it is said that because destruction, this other thing, has taken possession of the tree, it does not appear. Then, it is unreasonable to think that the undestroyed tree is merely not appearing. Because destruction, this other thing, cannot obscure all the qualities of the tree, or rather, it cannot obscure them. Just as when darkness and the like obscure other things, they only obscure visibility, but cannot obscure obstruction and the like. And this destruction, at any time or place, has no reason to be able to obscure all the qualities of the tree. Moreover, even if it obscures it temporarily, destruction, this other thing, is also newly produced from a cause. Therefore, destruction will eventually become something that is destructible. When it is destroyed, the tree will still appear as before, because the thing that took possession of the tree and prevented it from appearing has disappeared, just like a vase free from darkness. If it is said that just as blackness does not reappear after the killer of blackness is killed, so it is with this tree. Then, killing the killer of blackness is not the same as this, the killer of blackness is like fire, the cause of destruction. Here, it is not said that the fire has disappeared, why does the tree not appear. Rather, it is refuted that the destruction caused by the fire has disappeared, it does not appear, why does the tree not appear. Therefore, killing the destroyer is not the answer, the statement that blackness must appear again after blackness disappears still stands. If, like the second view, it is thought that destruction is not something other than the tree, then the tree itself will become something with the nature of destruction. The destruction of the tree exists simultaneously with the formation of the tree, therefore fire becomes not its cause. If read as "because it is not there", then even if there is no fire, the tree exists, or fire is not the cause of the tree, or it is combined in this way because it is not the cause. There is no third way other than this way of thinking about whether destruction and the tree are one or other. Because it is not other or different, the tree itself can establish destruction without relying on other causes. Therefore, all things do not remain in the second moment of their own establishment, which is called destruction or impermanence. This is not just non-existence, but is caused by a cause.

If it is accepted that emptiness is the nature, then the reason for the absence of trees cannot be found in the three realms of existence, and mere absence cannot be the result of anything, so it is said that destruction is done by hammers, etc. If it is held that destruction arises from a cause, then upon careful examination, the cause has done nothing. It is impossible for destruction arising from a cause to become a real entity, just like saying that a hammer made the sky. Acknowledging that the sky arose from a hammer is as absurd as the previous statement, so only the name remains, therefore saying that destruction depends on other factors, this cannot be established even by a particle of reason, therefore it is established without dependence. Second, in refuting the argument. There is no harm in becoming a contradictory unity. There is no harm in becoming the same as one and different. First, even if destruction is without a subsequent cause, Even if it is permissible, since there is no cause, that destruction will become permanent, therefore a real thing has the ability to function, and destruction is without the ability to function or is permanent, those two become a dharma of one dharma nature, existing simultaneously, if you say so. What is the reason why something without any essence is permanent? If one has a little bit of essence, then it is reasonable to say it is permanent or impermanent. However, even if something that has no essence to be established as permanent is forcibly made permanent, it will not become permanent, just like the fragrance of a lotus in the sky, therefore how can it become a permanent reality as one? Just as a pot's reality does not have cloth, but that does not become existence and non-existence as one or permanence and reality as one. Furthermore, mere absence is empty of all abilities, therefore for the destruction of a real thing, there is no ability to destroy a real thing, therefore it will become that the real thing does not get destroyed, saying this is not permissible. Because objects such as pots are destroyed by destruction, it is not undesirable, but it is desirable that their own nature is destructive. Therefore, saying that destruction has no cause, and that there is no destruction, means that the object called destruction is the name of not staying in the second moment at the time of its own establishment. Saying that there is no such name, and that it arises without cause, and that because it has no cause, destruction has never occurred like the son of a barren woman, how could that be? The destruction of a real thing depends on other causes
