It is called speech. In the scriptures, the expresser has nothing other than sound. If it is thought that sound without speech cannot fully express meaning because it arises sequentially, then speech without sound also cannot express meaning, just like the fragrance of a flower in the sky. So, what is it to understand meaning by relying on speech? That is not the substance of speech that exists as a substance externally, but because the sequence of many letters is conventionally combined into names, words, and speech, it appears as such from habitual conceptualization. Second, showing that the sequence is not established. Refuting the sequence of arranging letters, and refuting the sequence of manifestation by conditions. First, if it is said that "Veda is not made" is not just letters, because it does not express any meaning, so the characteristic of having a sequence of letters arranged is speech, and it arises without being made by a person. Then, the word "sequence," because it is not distinguished from the letters, it does not exist as a substance in its own nature, but because the sequence is imputed on the letters. It is also not established that those letters have a sequence established in their own nature. If it were established, then the sequence as shown in the Veda could not be expressed or established in any other way, but like Agni (藏文:ཨག་ནི་,梵文天城体:अग्नि,梵文罗马拟音:agni,汉语字面意思:Fire God), one could arbitrarily put "ག་" in front and change it to "གཱ་ནི་" and so on, because such a sequence can be arbitrarily changed, this is a sign that contradicts the establishment of the sequence of nature in the letters. If you also admit that there is one "ཨ་" and one "ཀ་" in the three realms, then what is its order of precedence? Because the order is not known. Furthermore, the speech of the Veda is said to be pervasive in all directions and constant at all times. Therefore, the sequence of places, such as "this place is this," like arranging a line, and the sequence of times, such as the difference between seedlings that appear earlier and later, will no longer exist. Therefore, the sequence of letters is that which arises earlier and later, and if it is established by its nature, then even impermanent things like seedlings cannot be changed in their order by anyone, let alone permanent sounds? Therefore, it is very unreasonable to say that speech is permanent and has a sequence. If, suspecting that fault, it is thought that the statement is impermanent and not pervasive.

If it is considered to be of its own nature, then there is also the fault that if it is impermanent, it is because it is produced by effort. And so on, and if those are not pervasive, and so on, because it has been said before, it cannot be established without being made by a person. Secondly, in this way, since it is not possible to establish that the nature of the letters themselves has a sequential language, if it is said that the clarity in knowing the letters sequentially is the sequence, then in this way, the sequence of the letters clearly appearing in the mind is also not language, because the idea that there is a new clarity in the constant language has already been refuted by reason. Furthermore, there is a reason to establish that sound is newly produced without being present before, and there is a harm to reason in thinking that it is clear that it existed before. The first of these two is that the activity of the tongue, lips, etc., which are the cause, is the very activity from which the language is established, so it will become the result of that. That is reasonable, because if it is to be revealed, then for the meaning of its kind that has already been established, the revealer himself knows or becomes the object, so that the other to be revealed generates wisdom, or the cause of the wisdom that holds it is considered to be the revealer, just as the lamp, etc., becomes the object and reveals the vase. Otherwise, if the object is after the cause, and it has never been established before, then what is the difference between this result and the cause of the author, the cause of the revealer? It will become no difference. Even so, from the activity of the collection of agents such as tongue and lips, it is also certain that the following of existence and the contradiction of non-existence are established, so the language is the result of those causes, and not what existed before. For the cause of revealing what existed before, it is impossible to have the reason just mentioned, because even if the cause of revealing disappears, its nature will not change, and even though the cause of revealing exists, its nature must exist simultaneously in different times, but it is impossible to have that kind of reason in this regard. Secondly, if according to the wishes of you outsiders, the constant language is considered to be free from the obscuration of its own nature, if it has the obscuration of its own nature, then it will never be seen, because the constant can never deviate from its own state. Such obscuration
