Therefore, what reason is there that the name does not apply to persons, etc.? However, fame is considered to be the most powerful. Therefore, when a person is called "fire," even if one is not mistaken that the name applies to the person, it does not follow that it can achieve the purpose of cooking the person. This is the same as the previous case of "how the speaker speaks," etc., which illustrates that one should not rely on words, but on meaning, which is proven by the reasoning of factual strength. Secondly, regarding the aspect of harm: it is inferred that cause and non-cause are the same. An example of inferring an unrelated thing as a cause is stating an extremely excessive inference. First, if it is believed that the permanent, unchanging Lord Ishvara created everything, does he have the state of doing and not doing, like a vase? If not, since there is no time or place where the vase is not made, then it would follow that everything always exists in everything. If there is a state of not doing, then at the time of not making the vase, he would also become not its cause. If so, since it is impossible to know when he will change from the state of not being the cause of the vase, then at all times he will not be the cause of the vase, and in that way, he will not be the cause of anything. Therefore, just as when an object exists, Ishvara is its cause, so when the object itself has not arisen and after it has been destroyed, when it does not exist, it must also not be its cause. If so, being a cause and not being a cause are contradictory, and since it is permanent without any difference in the state of being a cause and not being a cause, it would also become not the cause of everything. Therefore, for what reason is Ishvara considered to be the cause of everything, and not considered to be not the cause? Because the two are the same in every way. Secondly, if Ishvara considers beforehand and causes the vase to arise at a certain time and place, and also causes it not to arise at another time and place, what contradiction is there? Since there is no difference in the cause of Ishvara that causes to arise and does not cause to arise, in terms of priority and essence, such an Ishvara is neither the cause of arising nor the cause of not arising. Therefore, if one considers something that has no benefit or harm to be a cause, it is too extreme. For example, the cause of making a wound is a weapon, and the cause of healing a wound

Furthermore, it is related to medicine and mantras. Even if wounds and sores appear on a black person's body, why isn't the unrelated tree trunk the cause of the wounds and sores, since it causes the wounds and sores? One should not think that they are the cause of the wounds and sores, because it is reasonable to consider the unrelated Isvara as the cause. Third, the actual statement and the refutation of its answer. First, the way in which following and reversing do not succeed. Therefore, it is said to be too extreme. First, because it is believed that Isvara is of a constant and singular nature, without any difference in before and after or in ability. Therefore, these sequentially arising fruits and various different things cannot be made by that cause. Because the constant cause never changes, it is difficult to understand that it has the ability to produce fruit. For example, when a fire goes out, one knows that there is no smoke, and then one knows that the fire has the ability to produce smoke. However, if a certain fruit disappears, then its cause, Isvara, remains as before. If it is the ability of the cause, then the fruit should not disappear. Therefore, one will never know the ability of Isvara, thinking that this is not the fruit of Isvara, but only disappears because its own cause has disappeared. Therefore, admitting cause and effect is done by seeing following and reversing. If one admits it without seeing this, it is meaningless. Second, if certain causes exist, certain fruits will arise, and if they do not exist, they will not arise. That is its cause. If one thinks that other unrelated things besides those causes are its cause, then not only Isvara, but also rabbit horns and the sky, etc., will become causes, and the causes of all things will become endless. Second, refuting the answer. Refuting the two uncertain examples separately. The common meaning is to summarize. First, if Isvara has no differences, it should not produce fruit, which is uncertain. If we take external objects as examples, such as earth, seeds, and water, there is no difference between being gathered and not gathered, but they can produce fruit seedlings. If you say so, then the absence of difference is not established, only the presence of difference is established. How so? For the production of seedlings, seeds, earth, water, etc., in the state of not having produced before
