If that were the case, it would not be established as a quality of wind alone. If it were like the second statement, it could not obstruct, because the tactile sensations of all earth and so on could not appear. If it could obstruct the visible earth and so on, then it could obstruct the invisible. Just as here blue is obstructed by yellow, or a candle is obstructed by darkness, it is the same in other places. This is not the same, because here the visible earth and so on do not see the tactile sensations of softness and roughness. Therefore, for tactile sensations that do not fall to any side, it is difficult to even examine the wind. Therefore, proving that it is a unique quality of wind and that earth and so on do not have it is meaningless. Therefore, the teacher said in the "Analysis of Wind": If merely because something is not seen, it obstructs what is seen, that is also unreasonable. Therefore, merely because something is not seen, one cannot determine the inverse pervasion, but it must be determined through association. Second, refuting with reason the view that self-sect and other-sects commonly hold that merely not seeing is inverse pervasion: Due to differences in place, time, and conditions, even a single substance such as amla (Indian gooseberry) appears to have different qualities such as taste, potency, and color. It changes due to differences in the place of growth, the time before and after, and the conditions of cultivation methods. Just as soaking seeds in milk makes amla sweet. Therefore, seeing that a substance has one quality such as taste, potency, or color, it is unreasonable to assert that all other similar substances necessarily have that quality. That is, after tasting a sweet amla, one says that all other amlas are sweet, because I have not seen an amla that is not sweet. Just as saying this does not make it an infallible sign. Because there is no certainty, merely not seeing does not establish inverse pervasion. Third, refuting by contradicting the commitments of other-sects: The Vaisheshika school asserts that a living body has a self, the Lokayata school asserts that earth has consciousness, and so on, including the Samkhya school's belief that milk has yogurt, etc., all assert existence. Even if they commit to those natures that are not vehemently asserted to be non-existent, if non-existence is established merely because of not seeing, then those such as self and so on are also because of not seeing, so those do not see what, only those. The correct reason is merely proving that self and so on do not exist.

It is refuted by asking: Is this admitted or not? Second, establishing one's own system relying on connection, the following is discussed: The two, the proof and the pervasion, depend on connection. Through its power, the connection of the refutation mark can be understood. First, the rationality produced by the connection of the proof mark, and the way in which other examples are not needed because of the certainty of the connection. First, the reverse pervasion cannot be established merely by not seeing it, therefore, merely the establishment of the dharma, and the very nature opposite to the nature of impermanence, etc., which is inherently related. Or, will the very nature of fabrication, etc., be reversed? Or, the concomitance that if one exists, the other also exists is also established. Moreover, there is no confusion that the cause, like fire, is reversed, and the effect is reversed. Because of its power, smoke is not mistaken for fire. Therefore, the two pervasions can be determined without error through connection. If not, how can one unrelated dharma be reversed and the other be reversed? For example, if it is known that a person does not have a horse. If he does not have a horse, does he therefore think that he does not have livestock either? The other unrelated is reversed, and the other is also reversed, just like this. And so on. Similarly, concomitance is also established through connection, otherwise, one dharma such as fabrication and smoke exists or is close to any subject. How can other dharmas such as impermanence and fire follow or be close to it? For example, a person has livestock, does he also have a horse? Second, because the reverse pervasion is determined through connection, it is shown that other examples do not need to be established in meaning: Because the reverse pervasion can be determined through connection, so for dissimilar examples. Definitely, that is, absolutely, for this reverse pervasion, it is not necessary to establish the very basis from which to send back. It is also possible to understand the reason for the reverse pervasion by simply saying that if there is no fire and impermanence, etc., there will be no smoke and fabrication, etc. That is, when proving that there is fire in a place with smoke, using the sign of smoke. There are many examples of conformity, and examples of non-conformity are like the ocean, both of which are established as entities. When proving that a person is selfless, it is not necessary to establish a non-conforming self.
