Or what definite reason is there for it not to exist? Second, fame does not establish certainty in every respect. In this way, even if it is proven to be well-known in the world, it cannot be completely certain that it is so. For the words Agni (藏文,अग्नि,agni,Fire) etc., which are well-known in the world itself, if someone doubts whether they are necessarily expressions of things like fire, it is because it can be seen from fame itself. Why? Because the fame of the world itself, the words Agni (藏文,अग्नि,agni,Fire) etc. are also seen to be used to refer to various meanings other than fire, such as intelligence and greatness are also called fire. Therefore, I have not seen any valid means to determine that one word only expresses one meaning. For a word like Agni (藏文,अग्नि,agni,Fire) that has the ability to express various meanings, if it is determined to only express the meaning of fire, doubt or hesitation will arise. Why? Because there is no valid means to prove that the word cannot express meanings other than the meaning you have set, so for others, it is possible that the word does not express other meanings, or it is possible that it expresses other meanings. Second, refuting the self-utterance of the Vedas: It is impossible for the Vedas to speak themselves, and even if a person speaks, the meaning is uncertain. First, if it is said that the Vedas themselves spoke the king's prophecy, that is impossible. For example, when asked for the way to the city, some dishonest liars would say: I don't know, but this road is like this, this log will say so. And other honest people would say: I will say that this road is like this. Then, intelligent people will know that the former is a big liar, because he is just using the empty log as a tool for speaking. Similarly, examine the difference between the Vedas themselves saying or instructing the king's prophecy, and the king's prophecy saying it himself. If the Vedas themselves could speak, then they would have to speak not only to the king's prophecy, but also to anyone, but that is impossible in any case. Therefore, these words cannot guide intelligent people, but only some foolish wood.

Just as one takes Dumra as a teacher, so too, taking the Vedas as spoken by themselves is similar. Secondly, it is impossible for the Vedas themselves to be certain, so it is said that they are determined by humans. Even so, what reason is there for those sounds that can be used as expressions for all things to be determined as elucidations of a single meaning desired by the Vedicists themselves? Sounds are determined by the power of human expressive intention, and apart from this, the determination of sound meaning not made by humans, is it because it transcends the senses? Among the many meanings of sound, who knows that this is the only one, and thus determines that this is the only one? Because you have admitted that there is no person who sees the meaning beyond the senses. The expressive intention of a person wanting to give this name to this meaning is the cause of the name being determined as the expression of that meaning. The convention that has been named is an elucidation of the meaning of the expressive intention in the minds of those who are proficient in convention, because merely uttering the name makes that meaning clear in the mind. If the convention of expressive intention is not present in non-humans, then what reason is there for the name of the Veda, which is not made by humans, to be determined as having one meaning? It will not be established in any way. Thirdly, because the sounds of the Vedas do not depend on convention, but are naturally related to the meaning they express. The Vedas themselves are independent of other people, but are naturally determined. Like Agni (梵文天城体:अग्नि,梵文罗马拟音:agni,汉语字面意思:Fire) must also be the only meaning of fire, and cannot be changed or applied by human expressive intention, but this is excluded by direct perception and inference, and fame and the Vedas are also harmed by promises, so it is not allowed. Furthermore, if it is naturally determined, just as a lamp illuminates objects, the meaning can be understood as soon as the sound of the Veda appears, then the convention of a person saying "this word means this" will also become meaningless. If it is naturally determined, but the meaning determined by convention becomes clear again, this is also unreasonable. What reason is there for the natural determination to have a special clear determination again?
