If it is said that because things have function and destruction has no function, or permanence, these two must become the dharma of one object that has dharma, then how can something that has no essence be permanent? If it has a little essence of its own, then it can be said to be permanent or impermanent. However, for something that has no essence to be set as permanent, even if the label of permanence is imposed, it will not become permanent, just like the fragrance of a lotus in the sky. So how can permanence and reality coexist? Just as there is no woolen cloth in the object of a vase, but this does not lead to existence and non-existence becoming one, or permanence and reality becoming one. Furthermore, mere non-existence, because it is empty of all functions, the object of destruction has no ability to destroy objects, therefore things will not be destroyed, this statement is not correct. Because, what is destroyed by things like vases is not destruction itself, but refers to its own nature having destructibility. Therefore, when saying "destruction is without cause" and "there is no destruction", the word "destruction" refers to the fact that when things are established, they do not stay in the second moment. Saying "there is no name for it", and "it arises without cause", and "because it has no cause, destruction has never appeared like the son of a barren woman", these statements are not what it means. Because the destruction of things does not depend on other causes, but because they are born with their own nature of destruction. Therefore, in order to understand this principle and eliminate attachment to the opposite side, the mind with discrimination will regard the dharma of things as "destruction" as a different label. The state of the moment of things does not stay in the second moment, and from the perspective of showing that there is no other cause, it is said that destruction is without cause, so this name is established in this way. The destruction of the second moment only negates its own nature, and does not admit anything, so the word "non-existence" is not a negation of the name of non-existence, just as the existence of the vase is negated here, thus establishing the name of "no vase". Therefore, the mere existence of the name does not prove that things exist in things, if it is established, it is like the previous lamp that disappeared after being extinguished does not exist now.

Just as there is no sprout in the seed stage when it did not exist before; just as there is no mutual existence, like a horse not having a cow's horn; just as there is absolutely no existence, like a rabbit not having horns, if these also become real, then ultimately no basis for establishing non-existence can be found. Therefore, for both existence and non-existence, the names are established through the power of exclusion and inclusion, which is to eliminate the clinging to their respective opposites. Therefore, the name of refutation that arises in reliance on the object to be refuted merely projects the object to be refuted into consciousness and cannot further prove that the refutation itself is substantially existent in meaning. This is like applying the term emptiness, etc., to the mere refutation of true establishment. Therefore, through the terminology of names, one can indicate the destruction of a pot and the selflessness of a pot, like a dharma and a dharmin. It can also indicate mutual cause and effect, like the darkening of darkness when a candle is extinguished. These words are merely expressed in this way by the power of total differentiation, but if these meanings become things different from the cause-and-effect things and the dharmin, then selflessness becomes a real thing, and generality becomes a real thing, etc., which can never be established. Moreover, all the reasoning that proves that non-existence and permanence cannot function must also be invalid in reality. However, these reasonings based on the power of things can never be refuted, so when examining the nature of things themselves, all the meanings to be expressed should be divided into two
