Because there is no (thing). It is impossible to gather simultaneously, even the short duration of a letter spoken by merely opening the eyes has countless moments passing, let alone multiple letters appearing in sequence? Because sound and consciousness arise and cease sequentially. Therefore, the arrangement of letters, etc., are mixed together through conceptualization, and are merely established as such. Thus, even the expressive sign itself is merely a completely imputed one, without its own entity. Then, how can the relationship of becoming the nature of an entity exist? Just as it is impossible for fragrance to be established when a flower in the sky itself is not established. Second, the aspect-dharma is not established, showing that the sign as a reason has no establishment, or it is just a promise. The subject-property, the Veda, is not established as permanent dharma. First, the aspect is stated first, and then negated. First, regarding that previous sign, because the nature of the sign "unmade" itself is not established, the aspect-dharma is not established. Moreover, because the subject-property, the Veda, is not established as permanent dharma, there are two faults of the aspect-dharma not being established. First, regarding the statement that the sound of the Veda is "unmade," because there is no establishing reason whatsoever, it is said that the sign is not established. The opponent stated the establishing reason: Because the creators of this Veda, which has existed since beginningless time, do not remember "who this is," it is also believed that the Veda is not man-made. ཀྱང་ (Tibetan), अपि (Sanskrit Devanagari), api (Sanskrit Romanization), also. The particle ཀྱང་ collects true meaning, while ལོ་ is a word expressing dissatisfaction. Regarding this illogical statement, there are also those who presume to understand its reasoning, agreeing with it as if it were true. Therefore, not understanding the situation of the sign being unestablished and uncertain is covered and spread by ignorance or evil darkness. Furthermore, just as this person who recites the Veda now has no ability to express or recite the arrangement of letters, names, and sentences without learning recitation, etc., from other teachers, similarly, for those who believe that the previous eight teachers, etc., were the authors of the Veda, it is established that they also need to be taught by others. Therefore, some debaters say that the Veda is beginningless and not created by anyone. Second, the way in which that sign slightly fails to establish the object to be established. That sign aspect

If that's established, it's too much. Firstly, this reason shows the error of something not done. Even if it's established from beginningless time, it's unnecessary. Firstly, saying "the authors don't remember" is also meaningless, because it's not that no one remembers, but the eighth among Buddhists, Miu Tong, Miu Tong deity, various spiritual friends, etc., remember having done it, and the teacher of the Vaisheshika school, Food-Grain, etc. remember that the essence of the self, i.e., Brahma, created it. If because some don't remember, it becomes not done, then the old well of ancestors, etc., would also become not done. If Buddhists think that remembering in that way is false, then others remembering that scriptures are made by humans would also become false, because there's no distinguishing mark of having done or not done between the two. How is there none? Just like the scripture 'Youth Arising,' said to be made by the composer Black Slave, other scriptures newly composed or expanded by humans are also like that. If there's nothing other than the instructions for reading, etc., taught by previous teachers, then where is it seen that others recite as they please? Because it's not seen, by what means is it? Then, why can't it be inferred that the Vedas were also not done in that way? Because the two are similar. Generally, even just reciting the words of a scripture, one must learn the letter molds, etc., to enter, and it's difficult to understand the general terms of the scripture and the differences in terms; if someone else doesn't teach "what is this," one can't understand, and this also exists in scriptures made by humans. Therefore, it's meaningless to posit this reason as proof that the scripture was not made by humans. Whatever kind of fruit arises from whatever cause, what is seen by valid cognition by observing the way of concomitance and contraposition, there's no difference in any time or place. For example, if it's seen here that fire with smoke arises from wood, then it's also proven elsewhere that it arises from that. Because of the desire to express, scriptures that show various meanings are now seen to arise from the cause of human thought and action. Therefore, even if the actual person of the author is not directly seen, these other Vedic speeches should also be correctly known to arise from the cause of humans, because they're similar to other kinds of speech. The statement about the appearance of the divine drum and self-arisen letters is also due to the blessing of the Buddha and the power of the white qualities of the disciples increasing.
