Even if there is a slight weight, it is not particularly noticed. For example, just as putting a small piece of cotton in a large pile of cotton does not lower the scale, other particularists answer in this way. Second, using visible things to show uncertainty, thereby destroying the wishes of others. First, believing that things with limbs have weight, but the scale cannot detect it, according to their view, two clay lumps of equal size, one is integrated, that is, made into one clay lump, and the other is a collection of particles that are each independent like ten small balls, when these two are placed separately on both sides of the scale and weighed together, the weight of the one with limbs increases, so the weight should be different. Therefore, dividing five portions of gold, each weighing one 'Masha' (a unit of gold coin), into small pieces, and mixing these five portions into one gold nugget, and successively mixing 'Olmo Se' (a place name) and so on, dividing them into multiple parts equal to the weight of one whole, it is impossible for these two to weigh the same. Why? Because in general, the weight of the gold nugget must be the weight of the one with limbs, but for the tiny limbs, this cannot be detected. That is to say, if measuring the initial multiple substance strings with limbs, then when a new one with limbs arises from the combination of particles of the same type, if it does not have additional weight, like the limbs, it should not appear, so it must have additional weight. That is to say, when two 'Masha' of gold are mixed, on the basis of the weight of the previous two with limbs, plus the weight of the one with limbs of the mixture and the newly produced one with limbs, the one with limbs will increase by two. If one is added on top of that, then two are added on top of the previous five, and there will be seven more, and so on. If, when mixing, the previous ones with limbs gradually disappear, then the measurement of the substance string cannot be completed either. If only one with limbs remains in the end, then of the two groups of mixed ten clay balls and unmixed, the unmixed will be heavier, because there are nine more with limbs. Therefore, no matter how many parts a whole is divided into and then mixed in sequence, the weight will increase, or no matter how many small pieces they are divided into, the weight will gradually decrease, but this is impossible, so the one with limbs is only a designation, different from the limbs.

Now, the non-existent things will clearly appear. Second part: Things and therefore the signs of their non-existence. First point: Having examined it in this way, there is no sight of even a slight difference in weight, etc., which is considered to be absent in the components but present in the whole, yet to admit that it is established by seeing it is extremely foolish. If one examines it in this way, starting from the size of a mustard seed, and the great collection of particles increases more and more, then although there are many newly born substances of the whole, which are strings of fruits arising from their meeting, one can never know its weight with a scale. The weight from the subtle particles to the mustard seed is also much smaller than what was just said, so it is very difficult to know. Therefore, whatever whole substance is subtle or coarse, the weight of those that are considered to be the essence of the fruit of the meeting of the collection of components can never be known. Therefore, the object to be measured by the scale is the ultimate subtle particle itself, which is the cause of the whole and the end of the component, and the height and low of the scale is determined only by the difference in its quantity. Therefore, although it is impossible to know with a scale from the subtle particles to the size of a mustard seed, it is the nature of things that it can be known if many subtle particles are gathered. Just as placing a small cotton petal cannot lower the scale, but it can be done if it is gradually added to a load that can be borne. Second point: In this way, although the weight of cotton cannot be known, it is assumed that it is added on top of other cotton because its own shape can be known, but the meaning of the whole, that it itself exists in the components, is never seen. Nothing else is seen other than seeing the components. Even if it is not seen itself, the related thing is not seen. Just as a small cotton petal is added, the weight of the fruit of the whole cannot be known. Therefore, to admit it without seeing it with measurement is like asserting that a widow has a son. Second point, this example also teaches other ways of understanding: as well as ways to block other merits, and also represents other examples. First point: The example of being harmed by the direct perception of not seeing the difference in grasping the low scale, just as the weight of the whole cannot be known by measurement, the shape and other merits of the whole
