and also does not possess the corresponding wisdom. For those who have not heard of the aspect of arising in sequence, there will also be no experience of hearing long vowels. Second, there is the fault of not being destroyed even in the future, and the fault of later efforts becoming meaningless. First, after the individual parts of the sound arise, since the object itself does not exist, the consciousness that takes it as an object does not exist independently. Just as if the form does not exist, the image cannot exist. If there is no object, but the auditory consciousness itself, which takes it as its object, exists, then even if there is no sound later, that auditory consciousness will not be destroyed, because for things without an object, there is no difference. This reasoning applies not only to consciousness that is primarily object-oriented, but also to those who believe that letters have no momentary sequence, no parts, but arise all at once, there is also the fault of the sound of the letter being permanent. If the parts of the letter arise without depending on their previous parts, then just as the sound of the long "ཨཱ" lasts until the end, it will continue to exist later as well. If it can exist for two moments, then there is no reason why it cannot exist again, because it exists without depending on the cessation of the cause. Second, if the letters have no sequential order, then as the cause of characteristics such as long sounds, the tongue and palate, etc., only need to make one effort to produce the first part, and the subsequent efforts become meaningless, because there is no difference between the first part and the subsequent parts. Those debaters who believe that letters are partless, permanent in nature, existing in space, and are only revealed through effort, will also have the above-mentioned fault, because once one part is revealed, the nature that is inseparable from it must be revealed. The above is to refute the idea that one auditory consciousness can hold a long sound. Second, it is unreasonable for multiple consciousnesses to hold a long sound, divided into: refuting the sequential arising of multiple holders, and refuting simultaneous arising. First, divided into: not mixing with other experiencers, and the unreasonableness of arising after mixing. First, if multiple object-oriented auditory consciousnesses hold multiple parts of the sound, then among these consciousnesses, none of them hold a long sound, because they are all momentary objects. If it is necessary to experience the long sound when the object consciousness of the last part arises, then the last consciousness is only its own time.

Because it is not clinging to anything longer than each moment, no one has experienced long duration, therefore, the thought of long duration will not be remembered, because there is no such thought. Second, presenting the fallacy and refuting its answer. First, if it is said that the moment of consciousness that grasps the object, each different, is experienced one by one by another consciousness. Then, the auditory consciousness with sound as its object must be momentary, and the consciousness with auditory consciousness as its object must also arise one after another. If so, the object of auditory consciousness, hearing the sound, will not appear to be without interruption, because it is interrupted by other different kinds of consciousness. Second, divided into two: 1. Entering quickly does not connect; 2. Sense consciousness does not connect; 3. Mental consciousness does not connect. First, although the interval between the hearing of sound is interrupted by consciousness, the consciousness enters quickly and can also connect, which has been refuted before by hearing letters simultaneously, etc. If it is indeed seen that the interval of the sound itself is interrupted by others, and it is mistaken that these are not interrupted because of entering quickly, then, like two short letters such as "A A", even if they are spoken, they will be mistaken as not being interrupted like saying "Ā", because the length of these two letters is the same, and entering quickly without interruption is also the same. Therefore, even if different kinds of consciousness are interrupted very subtly, they will not be mistaken as not being interrupted. Second, divided into two: 1. Presenting the fallacy and 2. Establishing it. First, if it is said that with the ear sense, that is, with the consciousness that relies on the sense, even if the object is seen to be separated, it is still clinging without interruption because the entity aspect manifested by the sense itself has power, then, it is not possible, because all the sense consciousnesses become completely inverted in seeing their own objects, because no matter which of the five objects is seen, it is impossible to see without interruption, just like the wheel image of the torch, the sense consciousness that appears without interruption will all become confused. Second, the nature of all letters, the shortest limit is only the time it takes for a person's eyes to complete the action of closing. The duration of one short letter is not without parts, because the dust of the sound composition gradually does not mix, and many of them sequentially transfer from one to another and connect continuously, so the time is completed.
