When holding the general characteristic of fire, although it can be experienced by self-awareness only as a generality, it is just like the specific characteristic, so one does not experience the heat of the fire, etc. But at the time of manifest awakening, it is like experiencing the fire itself. Then, since yogic direct perception is direct perception, why wouldn't it be experienced since it appears clearly? Although direct perception appears clearly, it is only the appearance of self-appearance that appears clearly, which only becomes similar to the experience of others, but it does not become the same nature as the experience of the continuum of others. Because they are separate continuums with different habitual tendencies. Therefore, in the system of those with aspects, even if yogic direct perception directly perceives the happiness, etc., of another's continuum, it will not become like experience. But in the system of those without aspects, it will become like experience. Because there is no difference in grasping the object of happiness, etc., nakedly by both oneself and others, and it is not desirable for it to arise as the nature of the mind of both. It is like two people directly perceiving blue. Thus, for yogic direct perception that has not transformed the basis, only a similar appearance occurs, but it is not a real appearance. But the vision of the Buddha who has completely transformed the basis cannot be fully known and expressed by the ordinary mind, as stated in the Tantra. Although when seeing all dharmas as suchness, there is no proliferation of different continuums and happiness and suffering, etc., even though as many appearances as there are do not cease, because they do not waver from the state of equanimity, they cannot be conceived by ordinary people. Then, even if the appearance of blue, etc., is only a clear appearance of direct perception, even if it becomes one with mind and matter, it cannot be prevented that the external object in the hidden place exists like the happiness, etc., of the continuum of others. If it is prevented, it will also lead to the prevention of the idea of another's continuum. If there is an establishment that there are sentient beings of other continuums besides myself, you establish it, and it will be prevented. If you say that the difference of continuums is only appearance, and you, the Mind-Only proponent, establish all appearances as mind with your reasoning, then how is the mind of different continuums directly perceived by the mind? If you say that it is directly perceived by the yogi, then the mind of the other that appears to the yogi is established as one with the yogi's mind.

However, what prevents the minds of others from being established by mere appearance? If one thinks that the reasoning for preventing hidden meanings can be transferred to prevent all of them, then, in this way, when appearing, other than mere appearance, the subtle particles that are the nature of external objects are not visible, and the reasoning for preventing external objects from the perspective that coarse objects do not exist as substances, does it apply to the consciousness of others? Or, even if external objects do not exist, but in order to prove that there is an appearance of things, just as the power of various habits of one person appears as various things such as blue, if there is a reason for the various appearances of each continuum arising from the habits of one person, then prove it in the same way, and it can also be proved in the same way that the wisdom of other continuums does not establish hidden meanings. However, because there is no such reason, the hiddenness of other minds and the hiddenness of things are not the same in any way. Even so, how does the wisdom that recognizes the existence of other minds arise? It should be understood as the way in which both things and minds are established in the same way, as stated in the establishment of other continuums. Second, if one's own mind is not manifest, there will be too much fault. One's own mind exists, becoming inference. If you admit this, the reason is unreasonable. First, furthermore, because one's own mind is not manifest to oneself, the mind is known from signs. Because anyone would think that one's own mind exists, and if it is not established by direct perception, it can only be proved to exist by inference. If there is no valid means of establishment, then saying "mind exists" is like saying that a barren woman has a son, just a promise. Therefore, if the party that does not admit that consciousness is self-aware thinks that one's own mind exists, then when asked what is the reason that can be established, because no sign can be established, it is very inferior to not know that one's own mind exists by means of a promise. Therefore, there is not even the slightest doubt that there is a mind in one's own continuum, although this is established by the direct perception of self-awareness. However, it is like riding a horse but forgetting the horse itself. As it is said, just as the other party who makes the promise says that he has not experienced his own mind, for what is seen directly, there is no need to prove it by signs, but when proving that there is a dharma that is not seen directly, it cannot be proved without signs. One's own mind is also
