So. Second, the reason why experience is not based on the similarity of mind: Experience does not need a reason of similarity. If it is needed, then it is too much. First, saying that experiencing things from similarity is just a term of clinging to external objects, because when the mind itself appears in the form of any object, it is already established as the nature of experience, and similarity does not play any role in this. Therefore, it is not based on similarity, so the experience of this mind is established by its own manifestation without relying on similarity. Then, how can the unexperienced thing be experienced by other things? Nothing can be established. If you think that things are the reason, then, like the appearance of two moons, whether the external object itself is the reason can only be judged by speculation, and cannot be established by direct perception. Even if it is admitted as a reason, at the moment of experience, there is no experience of other objects at all, just like the root consciousness does not experience the root. Second, the so-called similarity between mind and things, if they are completely similar in essence, then the inner mind is no longer the mind itself, because there is no difference from the external object in all aspects. If it is only partially similar and experienced, then all objects will be experienced by all minds without difference, because the images are very similar. Experiencing one vase will experience all vases in all times and spaces. Moreover, experiencing a vase will also experience other things such as cloth, because there is no dissimilarity in some aspects, and all knowable things are similar only in the point of being knowable. Second, even if it is not only similarity that experiences, but if the experience of the essence of blue and other things arises in the mind due to the power of the external object, and therefore it is thought that blue and other things are experienced, then, similarly, because the essence of the previous mind that experienced things is held and arises, the subsequent mind should immediately experience the previous mind, but you do not think that the time when it does not exist is experienced, so this is a fault. Third, it arises from the objective condition and is similar in essential image, but how is the mind that experiences blue and other things experienced by the subsequent mind? Just like experiencing external objects such as blue, it is not certain to arise.

If so, there is no fault of not experiencing the previous knowledge. If not all uncertain things are experienced, then external things also do not have the certainty that is always present. Because there is no pervasiveness that all momentary things experienced are equally certain. Due to the power of mental distraction, even if the object is seen, there are appearances that are not certain. If the thing has a reason to lead to certainty because it exists in the object of that knowledge, why is it also not present in experience? In the view that does not accept that knowledge itself has an image, what does the knowledge without an object aim at to arise? Therefore, it should not arise. Second, examining the experiencer's mind, external white etc. are established through clarity, and internal happiness etc. are established through experience. In the first part, questions are raised starting from clarity, and to this, refutations are made with rational answers, and in this way, other wrong ideas can also be eliminated. First, in addition, when white etc. are directly seen, in the inner experience of a person, the nature of awareness that appears clearly as white etc., what is the appearance that arises from this awareness itself? If it does not arise with the characteristic of white itself being clear, how does the mind know that white is clear? If so, is the knowledge that appears clearly like this a different thing from aiming at white etc. being clearly manifest? Or is it the same as the nature of white etc. being clear, without any difference? This is the question being asked. In the second part, if it is different from clarity, then it is not reasonable. If it is clarity, then self-awareness can be established. In the first part, it will lead to everything being unclear, and the characteristics of the object cannot be grasped. First, if the clarity of the mind is a different thing from the things that appear as white etc., then the clarity of white etc. itself will become unclear, because it is separate from the experiential clarity of the mind. If so, how can the image of white appear clearly in the mind? Unclear is like a vase in the dark. Anything that is known or understood by knowledge or mind is called that knowledge is clear, and if the knowledge is not clear, then that object itself becomes unknown or unclear, so for all beings, nothing is clear, and like being in the dark, they will become like the blind and the dumb. Then, the lamp
