I have not experienced anything at all. The assertion of self-awareness cannot be established merely by relying on unexamined conjecture that "it is contradictory for oneself to act upon oneself." When analyzed with the reasoning of genuine reality, experiencing others is impossible. Moreover, through the very means of self-experience, the cognition of others is also established from the perspective of clinging to objects. Therefore, one should not abandon the primary function of the eye faculty and assume that the auxiliary sense bases perceive objects. Rather, one should nominally accept the term "self-awareness." It should be understood that all the various reasonings used by the great chariots (referring to the masters) to refute self-awareness only serve to refute it in the ultimate sense. If consciousness does not acknowledge self-experience and does not consider the appearance of objects such as blue to be the aspect of consciousness, but instead considers the bare essence of the object itself, then according to their view, it follows that the consciousness possessing the object does not experience the object. Even if such an appearance of the object exists there, since no distinction arises in the consciousness that grasps it, following after it, there would be no experience at all, just as there was when the object was not seen before. Experience means nothing other than the clear nature of happiness and so on arising in one's own mind-stream, without being hidden. Similarly, experiencing external blue and so on is merely the manifestation in one's own mind in a clear and cognitive manner. Whatever is experienced is simply the clear arising of that mind in that form. There is no experience in something that is not the mind, and that experience is nothing other than the clear manifestation of that mind's form. How can there be experience if it is not clear at all? It is impossible. Clarity is not merely like a lamp illuminating a vase, but rather the arising of the mind's form. Apart from that, one cannot conceive of any distinction such as "this object is clear." Even if the mind's form has arisen, if one has not recognized it as "this is it," then like twins, even if the forms are completely identical, it will not become an experience, but will only be like a clearly manifested lamp and so on. Therefore, without needing to be shown by others, one should clearly recognize that all experienced things are the very nature of the mind.

Experiencing things, that is experience. That is self-awareness, and if there is no self-awareness, such experience will completely disappear. Second, mere similarity is not experience. Being similar due to arising is not understanding things. Arising, similarity, and certainty do not gather either. First, merely being similar and experiencing things is too much. Similar wisdom does not help with that either. First. The Samkhyas and others say that even without self-awareness, experience will not disappear, no matter what is experienced, as long as the thing and wisdom become similar, what else is there besides that called experience? When wisdom becomes similar to a blue object, it is considered to be experiencing blue, that is the previous view. That is, according to the Samkhyas, the similarity in which the image of the thing appears within wisdom or the great is thinking. Here, because they do not acknowledge self-awareness, they are not Sautrantikas, and because they acknowledge images, they are not Vaibhashikas, so some consider that this is merely to show the harm to the Samkhya view. But even in a common view, similarity to a thing is not only considered a difference in the form of wisdom, but rather wisdom conforms to the thing, or following the thing, or merely seeing the name of the thing. In the case of the first measure of result, it is merely the name of similarity to the thing, not the apprehended image. In the second case, similarity to the thing can only be the apprehended image, so there is a partial distinction between unanalyzed and analyzed cases. If merely becoming similar is experiencing things, then all similar things will experience each other, simultaneous blue things will also experience blue cognition, twins will also experience each other, and so on. In general, similarity means that there is not a single dissimilarity in some aspects, because all things are similar only in terms of being knowable. It is impossible to be similar in all aspects, because similarity exists in two things, and becoming different things, because they are different, they are not similar in all aspects. Therefore, even if it is allowed that there is only similarity, it is too much to experience merely by similarity. Second, stating the true meaning and its reasons. First, eliminating things and their arguments. First. If any thing
