It is not, because the self-character is a thing that is not confused with place, time, and form, and the name does not exist for such certainty, because it applies to all its own objects of expression. Second, the Lokayata and Samkhya schools say: Adding a name to the self-character, as mentioned earlier, is unreasonable, so it is adding a name to the common character. On this, the Vaisheshika school believes that the common character is clear and different, while the Samkhya school believes that it is one. This is also unreasonable, because in any case, people must know what things can perform milking, carrying, and other functions, in order to achieve such a purpose to be pursued, relying on this name, to understand it by entering the way of the self-character of things. Therefore, they think that for things with features such as protrusions and shadows, the names such as cows are used, and adding names is to realize the meaning of needs. If the purpose of naming is like this, then the eternal genus cannot perform milking, carrying, and other functions. If a name is added to it, then the names such as cows will have no necessity and function. If a name is added to the common character, can the self-character also be understood? It is not, just like the previously prohibited "because there is no autonomy" and so on. It is also unreasonable to understand because of the connection, because there is no mutual assistance, so there is no connection, even if it is assumed that there is a connection, just like saying "cut the city wall" will not be understood as "cut down the raised city wall", because the particularity is not explained, so it will not be understood as the self-character. Because it is said that it cannot, it is impossible to understand it as the able, for example, saying to a milking cow, "plow the field." The common character is constant, one, and without parts, while the self-character is impermanent, many, and with parts. Because they are extremely different, it is impossible to confuse and use each other. Third, showing the same as those who have a genus, it is not necessary to name other common characters. First, the naked ascetics say: The single common character and the single self-character are not suitable as objects of naming, so they name the manifestation that has a common character. If like this, naming the substance self-character that has the genus and can function, then why not directly name the manifestation, but add in the middle a one that has no necessity and function

If someone asks, what is the use of sectarian transmission? If they say that clarity is infinite because its place, time, and self-nature are infinite, so it cannot be expressed with symbols. Also, because it is a sect, if it is expressed with symbols, the meaning of the symbol can be realized. Then, this infinity also applies to the universal existence, because each infinite clarity is a universal existence, so the universal existence of clarity exists in the infinite symbol place, and the small amount of clarity abandoned by the sect has nothing. Second, when examining "other universals are the place for applying symbols," the real situation where universals are not needed, and the refutation that shows that not needing is unreasonable. First, in the concept, the meaning of things like water pots is only the same as doing and not doing, why not apply the symbol of water pot to the exclusion of other things from the water pot? If someone asks, why do you admit other universals of the symbol place? If the answer is that because it is the same as the thing that has that universal, so it is like the mistake mentioned earlier, then it is the same in reverse, so it is not admitted. If someone says that even if the mistake does not change in any case, even if it does change, it is better to work hard to achieve it, and there is no need for other sects, because only excluding other things can realize the meaning of the symbol. If the mistake is the same, why not admit the sect, but admit the exclusion of other things? Even if it is admitted that the symbol place is a sect, if there is no exclusion of other things, it is impossible to determine other things, so it is necessary to admit the exclusion of other things. Even if you say exclude other things, even if there is no real universal, you can still realize the meaning. Moreover, excluding other things is a fiction, so it is easy to eliminate the accusation of the sect. If you think that just applying the symbol of excluding other things cannot completely realize the purpose of the symbol, then, like the sound of "tree," completely abandoning or distinguishing all things other than the sect of the tree, thinking that it will point to the real object of the tree itself, it is only in the sense of distinguishing it from other things that the sound of the tree is applied to the thing with branches and leaves. Moreover, with the word "also," it is not only to apply symbols through the pursuit of things, but also to know that after applying the sound, it can be distinguished from other things and understood, which is to summarize. In this way, saying the sound can distinguish it from other things, or separate it, without distinguishing it
