If boundaries cannot be connected due to attachment, then even if one speaks, it will be impossible to make anyone understand anything. Therefore, regarding the appearance of each individual mind arising from language, if a mind that inherently arises and mistakes the object to be examined as its own self-nature arises, then by connecting the boundaries of the minds of teaching and listening, one can understand the same object, thereby giving rise to wisdom born of hearing. If it is not a different entity of mind, but other different entities, just like minds with objects of different self-natures, it is impossible to fall into the same self-nature. If both the teacher and the listener are attached to their respective appearances, thinking that the objects of these two minds are similar, and thus in the world it is said that the objects of these two minds are the same, then this is merely a matter of each being different. Even if the essence of these two things is similar, but because they exist in different continuums, they cannot be realized by others, so it will never appear to the other, and how can both grasp or not grasp the nature of different objects related to different continuums? In this case, the mind that grasps similar common things will become meaningless, and one will never be able to recognize the similarity, nor will the thought of mistaking it for similarity arise. Because misidentification refers to the arising of a thought that clings to other dharmas as the nature of other dharmas, but here, since the other does not appear, how can one mistake it for the same thing? Therefore, misidentification is impossible. Or, for a single object of reality that does not appear as various different things, how can it be grasped as different natures from the perspective of different individuals? It is impossible to grasp. If grasped, it will not be possible to enter into the common same object. Even if the object itself has no difference, but appears differently from the perspective of different individuals, then the mind will become devoid of other objects. Because the image of the same object appears in different minds, it will be mistaken for an object, and ultimately the same object will be understood. Therefore, this undeniable connection of the minds of teaching and listening is precisely because the image of each individual's mind is similar to the object, and because each mind does not have an independent object different from the mind, the teacher will say: 'How I focus on the object, the same image will arise in the continuum of the listener.' This is the reason for speaking. If one's own self-nature object appears, and it cannot be shown to others, then before one can point out 'This is it,' the mind will have a

Even if one does not fully adopt the words that generate images, it should be understood that because this is undeniably established and widely known in the ways of the world, it can generate representations in the realm of the mind through the power of language. Second, in order to establish the two ways of relying on knowing it, it is established by the fact that there is a difference between memory and consciousness. Otherwise, that would be unreasonable. First, establishing the sign and refuting the uncertain. First, for example, the consciousness that experiences blue also relies on the two parts of its own nature, the apprehended aspect and the apprehending aspect, which is known through the way of memory-consciousness. How is it known? The consciousness that experiences blue only has the apprehended aspect of the blue appearance, and what is distinguished from that by one aspect is the blue-grasping, which is determined by consciousness. Otherwise, if the blue-grasping does not have the blue appearance, then how would the blue appearance exist in the memory-consciousness of the blue-grasping? Just as the appearance of cloth does not exist when remembering a pillar. Moreover, in one's own continuum, when the subsequent consciousness inwardly determines "such and such wisdom has arisen," the consciousness that generates blue-grasping, in the first memory-consciousness that determines it, there are two aspects: the blue appearance and the appearance of the blue-grasping consciousness. Therefore, blue-grasping has one more aspect than itself, and this is the difference between object-memory and subject-memory. Similarly, in this way, each subsequent consciousness has one more aspect than each preceding consciousness. The first memory-consciousness, by its own nature, by the entity of the object, has two apprehended aspects, which take the two modes of blue-grasping as their object, and one apprehending aspect, which is the apprehending aspect of blue-grasping memory, making a total of three. In some cases, the second memory-consciousness, which is the consciousness that remembers after blue-grasping, arises in that way. And that kind of first memory is also distinguished by the third consciousness, which has become the second memory-consciousness. When remembering "what was the first memory-consciousness like?", one remembers "it was the grasping that has the appearance of the two modes of blue-grasping." After that, when distinguishing "what is the memory of blue-grasping memory like?", one thinks "it is the consciousness that has the appearance of the two modes of blue-grasping," that is, having three aspects.
