If one thinks like that, then there is no need to even examine what the "object" is here, because only appearance is needed, and there is no need to examine external objects, and most of the explanations in the scriptures, such as the distinctions of the three conditions and subtle impermanence, also do not need to be examined. Second, to establish that "appearance" is not other than consciousness, it is divided into actual refutation and sequential answers. First, the "appearance" that appears as the object of consciousness, if it is a thing that is different in substance from the self-remembering consciousness, and the object can generate those minds, then other suitable objects can also be known in the same way as the rememberer, because whatever is the object that can generate consciousness, when it appears to itself, it appears like an external object, and the mind wants to hold it nakedly, which is reasonable. Second, refuting the answer to this: appearance is not consciousness, even if it is the object of consciousness, others cannot know it in the same way, because it is always related to the rememberer, me. If you say that even if you say "my own appearance of memory is like this," others cannot know it, because no matter what you do, it is impossible for an object related to me alone to give rise to knowledge of it in others, and if it can give rise to knowledge of it, it will not be related to me alone, because the so-called related and unrelated are examined in the case of related and unrelated between consciousness and object, and object-possessor and object. If you say that, then each of your own minds and the objects of your own minds are related, so you will understand those objects of your own, if you think like that, even if you allow each to have different self-objects, but through speech, each will know their own objects, but the minds of both sides will not converge on the same meaning, because just like before, it is only related to me, so others cannot know it, even if you say it, you cannot establish a relationship with others. Just like the explanation of Lhawang Lodro, if you ask what does not converge, then you should connect upwards and say: it is the minds of the speaker and the listener, which have the nature of clinging to the same meaning. The meaning is: if it is related to each one, then the minds of the speaker and the listener, which have the nature of clinging to the same meaning, will not converge. If this is the case, then the wisdom born of hearing will be interrupted, because what the speaker and the listener say and understand become one.
