It cannot be measured. That appearance is either similar to the external object's own characteristic or similar to the internal habit-forming agent. In short, by the power of the cause, the appearance of blue, etc., in consciousness is undeniable as merely appearing that way. Such a cause is also an object, because there is no other object apart from the cause that establishes appearance in consciousness. If it cannot generate consciousness, it is not reasonable as an object, just like the son of a barren woman, etc. If there is a perceived object that is not a cause, then it must be simultaneous. Since it has already been established that it does not benefit consciousness, such an object is considered the object to be measured. Moreover, the belief that consciousness arises from the object of the objective condition and that it is considered the cause of consciousness is accepted without investigation or analysis in the face of this appearance, so there is no fault. Second, just as some appearances of double moons and dream horses and cows, etc., the actual object of the object does not actually appear at the time of its existence, but consciousness itself appears as if it were an object, how can it be said that it holds external objects? It is unreasonable to establish it that way. To this, you are very right. I also say that the appearance produced by the external object measures the external object without examining it in the face of this appearance that seems to have an external object. If a correct analysis is made, I do not know how consciousness holds external objects, just as the above-mentioned principle that consciousness can never hold external objects is the true state of affairs. Second, there is no difference between measure, result, and object to be measured in the object, but it is a reversed display that appears as three. Establishing that the object is empty in nature. Refuting the argument against it. In the first part, it appears as three due to being obscured. Relying on it to establish terms. First, the three, measure, result, and object to be measured, are originally no different from wisdom in their own nature, but because people with inverted views regard the object to be taken as the object to be measured, the consciousness that can be taken as the valid measure, and the result experienced by it, that is, self-awareness, etc., fabricate as if they have differences, and name and understand them in that way. For example, for those who are obscured by the senses, mantras, drugs, and samadhi, etc., lumps of clay, pieces of wood, pebbles, etc., will appear as images of horses, cows, etc.

Separation from me also appears as other horses, cattle, etc. If it is thought that it is not an illusion, but is born from the causes and conditions of mantras and substances, etc., that is not the case. If mud lumps, etc., are produced there, they must change their own essence, but eyes that have not been deceived by the causes of mantras, etc., will not see horses, cattle, etc., other than the mud lumps, etc., themselves. Second, just as a small object appears large in a distant wilderness, in reality, the grasper, the grasped, and the wisdom arising from them are not separate, but in the mind, the measurable and the measuring valid cognition, and the self-awareness that measures it as the fruit, these three ways are named as they appear in the mind. Or, as it appears, so it is done. Thus it is said. Second, establishing emptiness by dividing in meaning, if it is not relying on the way of appearance and falsely distinguishing and dividing into three, then how can the nature of the mind, which appears in various forms, be true as the three forms appear? If the way of appearing differently becomes true, then oneness will be lost. Moreover, if oneself is true in one's own object, then the object, the subject, and the wisdom arising from them exist, and the three will become other. If so, just as the three of pillar, vase, and mat, even if it is allowed to be different dharmas, the saying that the mind experiences the object will be completely reversed, because the three are connected as the nature of one mind, and it can never be established. Therefore, it is impossible to be true in many bodies, and if it is thought that the three are true in one body, then the appearance of appearing in many bodies, the state of being other than oneself, which is other itself, will be lost. The appearances of happiness and suffering, blue and yellow, and those that appear as objects and subjects, also appear different on the level of appearance, but the nature is not seen as the same, so many things are not true in one body. If it appears as other, and it is not so, and it is seen that there is no otherness in the object of mind, then therefore, all appearances such as the measurable blue and yellow must also be determined as a whole without otherness, but this is not reasonable. Like this,
