Firstly, if the nature or essence of external objects is experienced by the observer as being in accordance with their wishes, that is, in a manner that is pleasing to the mind, and another aspect is experienced as being contrary to their wishes, then the appearance as either desirable or undesirable should also be considered as a way of understanding things. One cannot say that one does not see either one in turn, because both are no different in being objects of the self-characteristic of things. Therefore, even if external objects are acknowledged to exist, it is only how one experiences them oneself. It is believed that those objects are of the nature of being definitely in that way. Thus, the appearance as desirable or undesirable is not the naked appearance of the object itself, because there would be the fault of one object having many states of desirability and undesirability. For example, when one person is seen, enemies and friends each see them as pleasing or displeasing. Similarly, when objects such as forms and sounds are seen by the sense consciousness of each subject, they appear as conforming or not conforming to that sense consciousness, and even in non-conceptual consciousness, there are different appearances. Since the way things appear must be established on the naked nature of the object itself, if the object itself appears nakedly without the activity of the mind, it should appear the same to everyone, and there should be no differences. Secondly, refuting the objection and its response. Firstly, even if it is admitted that there are different states of desirability and undesirability in the nature of objects, the two states of desirability and undesirability will not simultaneously, with different appearances, allow each individual to experience their respective appearances. This actually says: "Although the object is one, minds are different, therefore it is not established." Although the reasoning is the same, it is not presented here as a meaningless argument. Even if it were meaningful, it cannot be denied that there are different appearances, so experiencing things can only be through consciousness, that is the meaning. Secondly, refuting the reply that karma obscures one part and conceptual thought manifests two parts. Firstly, if it is said that the part of the object that the observer does not see is because it is obscured by their own karma, so they do not see everything, then

Because of having meaning, that and that will not be understood by the mind. For example, the object that is considered to be the cause of generating sensory consciousness, which is considered to have various appearances, even if it is nearby, the mind that focuses on it sees it as any one of the qualities, and when this is done, the unseen is ultimately real, but how can the real itself be seen by consciousness? Even if it is in the right place, it will not be the cause of generating consciousness. In this way, it is doubtful whether what is seen is manifested by the power of the real, because the thing itself that is real, its nature inherently exists in two distinct parts, like and dislike. Unlike this, the appearance that does not match the power of the real itself is not manifested, so like seeing two moons, it cannot be determined that the object is real. Some examples say that the unseen is something other than the appearance obscured by karma. If karma makes the thing itself appear as the only form, then from the perspective of "unseen," how can it be the cause of seeing the external object? It will become the cause of making things with multiple qualities unable to appear truthfully, but instead confusing them in other forms. In this way, what appears to oneself is only the appearance of each karma, and it will not become the meaning of having a common reality. Second, if the appearance of like and dislike to the same object is only the mind's discrimination, just as those with desire and aversion see women because of the power of habit, rather than the sensory consciousness that holds the thing itself appearing as the same or different, then all the non-erroneous sensory consciousnesses will measure the thing itself as it is. Even so, sensory consciousness will be affected by death omens, jaundice, and the differences in the senses of various creatures, etc., so it cannot be determined whether it is seen as one person sees it, or see other minds that do not match or are inconsistent with what was seen before, so sensory consciousness cannot be sure whether the original appearance of things is truly manifested. Even if the senses are not deceived by dizziness, etc., the objects seen are different, and each sensory consciousness will also generate happiness and suffering, manifesting in various forms. In the omen of death, it used to be one's own son
