If so, what is this experience of directly experiencing external objects? It is not appropriate to ask, presuming that what has not been established is established. Second, mere similarity does not accomplish the meaning. Similarity to what is produced also cannot. The gathering of three, production, similarity, and certainty, also does not accomplish. First, the absence or presence of similarity is confusing. First. Like this, if those who believe that the establisher of external objects is sense-consciousness are asked how the appearance of the form of external objects in the mind establishes external objects, they will say that the consciousness that has become similar to the object establishes the existence of external objects. However, this form has not been established as similar to external objects. Therefore, if this form is similar to external objects, is it similar to coarse external objects or to subtle external objects? According to the first case, external objects, like a vase, do not have the form of a single, indivisible, coarse mass, but are perceived as distinct parts. Nor is it the essence of many becoming one, because it is contradictory. Moreover, as previously stated in mere terminology, when extremely small particles beyond the senses meet, the distinction of being visible to the senses arises. Just as each hair from a distance does not become an object of the senses, there is no denying that a yak tail, which is a collection of many hairs, generates sensory consciousness. However, that alone does not make the extremely small particles that are not coarse become objects of the senses. Because anything beyond the aggregation of two extremely small particles belongs to the coarse category, the appearance of indivisible particles can never be apprehended. Therefore, the form that appears in the mind is a coarse appearance. No matter how much it is divided, it is seen as having parts until the appearance ceases, and it is impossible for indivisible subtle particles to appear. Therefore, it is impossible to know whether subtle or coarse external objects appear. Therefore, for external objects themselves, the so-called appearance in consciousness, if examined, will become separated from meaning, like demolishing a tree by the water. Even if external objects are not established, there is no denying that the appearance of meaning, such as blue, is established. Therefore, consciousness itself is established by its own power as merely appearing as such. Therefore, external objects are not coarse. If extremely small particles exist as indivisible, what reason is there for those extremely small particles to be indivisible, and why do they appear coarse when they appear in the mind like this, contrary to their own state? Moreover, this form of coarse appearance is similar to the way the essence of external object extremely small particles exists.

What is it? That is to say, if combined, those particles appear coarse. What is it similar to? This is its meaning. This way of establishing the existence of external objects, because it is different from external objects, therefore it is considered that external objects are the nature of many particles, different from the inner consciousness, which is not the real existence of things, because it is established by the cause of the image, and is refuted by the proof of strength. Second, suppose that external objects exist, and the image is the same as it, even so, it is wrong to think that the image of consciousness is the measure of external objects, because the mind itself cannot establish that the external object is the nature of experience. Experiencing the image of consciousness does not establish experiencing another similar to it, because the two are different, since it is so, it is wrong to think that experiencing the inner is experiencing the external object. Just like seeing one twin cannot say that the other is like this. Second, similarity alone is not enough to establish the recognition of things, because the image is both the same as the thing and produced from the thing. If for such a production, the similar image is the consciousness of experiencing external objects or the characteristic of recognizing things, then the consciousness of the image that is the same as the previous object of cognition will become the measure of the mind's cognition or experience immediately following its similarity. For example, if a blue flower is taken as the object of cognition, and two moments of consciousness arise, then the latter moment is similar to the former moment, and is also produced from the former moment. Therefore, even if it is produced from it and is similar, for different things, in reality, it is never possible to experience one by experiencing the other. For things that have not been correctly experienced by the mind, it is impossible to have a measure to establish it, just like the son of a barren woman. The latter mind is only similar to the mind immediately following it, and is produced from the former mind, but it is not the same in all aspects. If it is thought that the image and the thing are very similar, then the mind and the thing are not the same in all aspects, because different dharmas cannot be consistent in all aspects, if they are consistent, then the mind and the thing will become one. Third,
