If whatever manifested illusion is seen as non-conceptual and clearly appearing, then when the habituation of attending to what accords with the object is perfected, there is no need to mention the arising of clear appearance. Because habituation causes clear appearance to arise, therefore, whether it is impermanence, etc., which are true, or skeletons, etc., which are untrue, whichever is diligently meditated upon, when those meditations are completely perfected, the object of meditation will manifestly appear clearly, and it will be the fruit of the arising of non-conceptual or non-thinking mind. Secondly, although clear appearance arises from such habituation, not all minds that arise from clear appearance through habituation are valid perceptions. If something is a valid perception, then like the objects of the Four Noble Truths previously explained, such as impermanence, etc., whatever meditative direct perception that appears in accordance with the state of affairs of the object and is unerring in meaning, those are considered valid yogic direct perceptions arising from meditation. The remaining objects of appearance, such as unattractive appearances, etc., although they appear clearly, are not valid perceptions, because they are illusions merely by attending to them in other ways, and therefore are consciousnesses that are nearly deceptive. This is also in relation to external objects, but it is not a hallucination such as exhaustion, etc., because it is only determined as self-appearance and does not hold it to be established in that object itself, so there is no confusion in the field of appearance of self-awareness. Similarly, the appearance of two moons is also an illusion in relation to meaning, but it is not an illusion merely in the field of appearance of self-awareness. Secondly, the object to be abandoned is shown to be conceptual thought, which is the conclusion of the four types of direct perception. As it is said in the Sutra on Valid Cognition: "Conceptual thought is also asserted to be self-awareness, because it is not in the object that it conceptualizes." As it is said, the conceptual thought to be abandoned in direct perception is whatever consciousness, in relation to whatever object, grasps the meaning of its sound, becomes mixed, or grasps as mixed, that is called the wisdom of conceptualizing in that object in relation to that object. However, the nature of conceptual thought itself, from the aspect of experiencing clarity and awareness, is not a mixture of sound and meaning, because the apprehended aspect at that time is also the self-characteristic of consciousness, and the grasping aspect is also non-conceptual in relation to it, thus, the direct perception of self-awareness is non-conceptual. Therefore, whatever conceptual and non-conceptual objects appear in the nature of self-awareness or consciousness, all will transform into the direct perception of self-awareness, so it is self-awareness direct perception.

There is no knowledge that is not included. Second, regarding the seemingly opposite aspect, the difference in meaning is explained as four types. It is explained why seven types need to be mentioned in the scriptures. First, in the context of explaining seemingly valid perception, the Pramāṇasūtra says: "Error and conventional knowledge, as well as inference arising from inference, memory and desire are called, seemingly valid perception includes blurred vision." Thus, six conceptualizations and one non-conceptualization, totaling seven, are explained. Error knowledge is like mistaking a mirage for water. Conventional knowledge refers to all conceptualizations that attach names and categories, etc., to the object seen. Inference is the mind that grasps the sign. What arises from inference is the mind that grasps the sign-possessor. Memory is the conceptualization of the past. Conceptualization of the future is called desire. These six are conceptualizations. The clear appearances of non-existence that arise from the deterioration of the dependent sense faculties due to blurred vision, etc., are the actual seemingly valid perceptions. These can also be summarized into four types in this context: Error knowledge is called the knowledge that imputes meaning to other things. Conventional knowledge is called knowledge based on conventions. The other four are called knowledge with hidden meanings, i.e., three types of conceptual knowledge. Non-conceptual error knowledge is called knowledge arising from the corruption of the basis, thus, the one without conceptualization is one. This is because the dependent basis, the sense faculty, is deluded by the cause of error, so these objects appear. Second, it is necessary to explain the six conceptualizations, and it is necessary to explain one non-conceptualization. First, there is the necessity and its justification. First, if one wonders why conceptualization is shown in seemingly valid perception, it is because the two, error knowledge and conventional knowledge, are separated and explained in order to prove that they are not valid perceptions arising from the senses. If someone thinks that no one would consider these two not to be valid perceptions, that is not the case, because the error of these two being valid perceptions is seen. If someone asks why the latter four are explained, it is because although the four, inference, etc., have already been proven to be conceptualizations, mentioning them here is to show that the former two themselves are to prove that they are conceptualizations. That is, it shows the aspect that the first two depend on the sign and the latter two do not depend on the sign.
