It is because, even in a single mind, it is impossible not to have the thought of moving towards the object, as well as the feeling of experiencing happiness, etc., and the part of consciousness that clings to the characteristics. But it is not necessary to experience these separately. From the perspective of the mind's continuum, the reason why various mental factors are established is that although not all are present at the same time, it is obvious that they gradually arise. For example, good and non-good mental factors, etc. Therefore, at the same time, when one mental factor such as happiness is most obvious, even if others are obscured and cannot be distinguished, it is not that there are no others, just like the sun and the stars. How can it be determined that it exists? The difference of mind, that is, the various different mental factors, although sometimes they do not appear simultaneously, in the mind's continuum, in certain objects and times, they will be seen separately, just like the stars at night. Therefore, the establishment of merely having many different mental factors is determined by experience, not that it has never been seen. Awareness and happiness can never be pointed out separately, so they are different from many mental factors. Fourth, Yoga Direct Perception. The nature of Yoga Direct Perception is explained. These are well accomplished. First, the Pramana Sutra says: Taught by the best of yogis, only the unmixed meaning is seen. As it is said, the yogi who possesses insight and samadhi

It is not like that, but like this, because of being very accustomed to desire, when the mind is confused, things like women appear frequently as if they were actually appearing; because of being accustomed to fear, when the mind is confused, the forms of snakes and ghosts appear clearly; because the grief of a son's death disturbs the mind, one can even see the son himself. 'Disturbed' means that those things disturb the mind. In the commentary of Lhawang Lo, it says: Desire, sorrow, fear, madness, thieves, dreams, etc., disturb. Here, 'disturbed' is explained as madness. In reality, desire or sorrow and fear, these three causes, disturb the mind and become madness, then the clear appearance of that realm appears. In addition to these causes, there are also mental doubts such as worrying that thieves will come, and when falling asleep in this situation, due to the effect of habit, one dreams of thieves in the dream. And through the word 'etc.', including rapid rotation and death omens, etc., disturb consciousness, so that things that are not really present appear clearly as if they were in front of you, therefore, it is reasonable that habit can produce clear appearances. Second, refute the debate about reality and uncertainty. First, in that realm with such clear appearances, it is seen in a non-conceptual way, and cannot be confused with symbols. Whatever can be confused with symbols, the appearing realm related to concepts and subsequent thoughts, is not something with clear appearances. And since this is a clear appearance, it can be determined to be non-conceptual. Second, dreams are not non-conceptual because they have no external environment, and even if they are conceptual, they have clear appearances, so it cannot be concluded that concepts do not have clear appearances. If you think so, dreams are not conceptual, but a non-conceptual illusion of consciousness. The reason for this is that in dreams, the self-environment of that time appears clearly. And when recalling past things, the recollection is unclear, and the recollection does not have the same meaning as the clear appearance at that time. Third, generally speaking, explain how clear appearances arise from habit, and distinguish whether it is a valid cognition. First, when practicing impurity meditation, that is, contemplating unpleasant things, and when one is very accustomed to the samadhi of earth kasina, etc., even if it does not actually exist, skeletons will appear, and all realms will appear as land, etc., which is not the real existence of the external environment, but the power of inner practice.
