If it is said that initially, the subject of dharma, the substance, is apprehended, and later, its qualities and other distinguishing dharmas are also apprehended, therefore, substances such as vases and blankets are not apprehended as one, but are realized as separate or multiple? Even if it is possible to gradually apprehend other dharmas, even so, this would lead to the confusion of the relationship between dharma and the subject of dharma, thinking that the dharma of the blanket belongs to the vase, and the dharma of the vase belongs to the blanket, because they are never seen simultaneously, and merely seeing different things separately cannot determine the relationship of "this belongs to this," just as seeing vases, blankets, pillars, etc., in sequence. If it is thought that seeing the latter immediately after seeing the former will not confuse the relationship, then merely seeing the latter is not certain, just as seeing a vase immediately after seeing a pillar. Therefore, if there is a factor that determines the relationship when seeing different things, then that will happen, but the relationship of genus, etc., which is not the result of substance, can never be determined. Second, the simultaneous apprehension of multiple things must also be admitted by other Samkhyas, because they consider the transformations such as sound to be the nature of the three Gunas, therefore, because they are multiple, it is established that they are not apprehended simultaneously. Even if they are multiple, it is not necessary to apprehend multiple things simultaneously, which is not correct, because the three, namely, endowed with Guna, darkness, and courage, cannot be absent even in a single extremely small particle, therefore, if these three are not apprehended, it is not permissible to apprehend its Guna, such as sound, just as without apprehending the finger endowed with Guna, it is impossible to apprehend its fist and accusing gesture, etc. Second, refuting the assertion that non-objects such as universals are objects of sense consciousness. The aspect of negation is not the object of sense consciousness. Although there are white things, etc., they do not harm it. Abandon the non-definitive attachment to it. First, as it is said in the Pramana Sutra: "The subject of dharma with multiple entities is not a conceptualization from the senses. The nature that is not shown by the terms of self-awareness is the object of the senses." As it is explained. The outsiders have not understood that these heterogeneous entities excluded from non-this are merely aspects of negation.

It is considered to be the manifest realm of the root consciousness. It is not so, because sound and other dharmas, as subjects, whatever is separated from all non-self things, is the nature of things, as mentioned before. For such a thing, from what dharma it is separated, merely from the perspective of that separation, the difference that is nominally established through sound thought is actually of multiple natures. Therefore, even for the same sound, there are things like being a conditioned phenomenon and impermanence, from the perspective of separation from all non-self parts, merely through the nominally established self-nature, appearing as various differences, these are diverse on the level of sound concept. But in the mind without concept, that is, the object, as the object of a single entity of the birth place, it only measures the appearance, it does not combine the difference base and difference dharma, nor does it hold multiple names for the same thing. The thing of its own time, due to the power of the unmixed realm, time, and aspect, the occasional knowledge that arises, in its acting realm, the separation that has become the realm of sound concept is not so existent. Second, if seeing the moon, on the thing itself, isn't there the white itself that is different from non-white, and the same round shape itself, and the rabbit pattern itself, etc.? Why do you say that the root consciousness does not see these separations? Even if there are many dharmas such as white on the thing itself, but because the parts are not distinguished, the manifest realm of the root consciousness, that is, how the thing of the self-characteristic realm appears, cannot be expressed by sound. Because the thing that has become the nature of completely cutting off all non-self, merely appears as the thing itself, any difference that distinguishes parts cannot express it as it is. Therefore, because the knowledge produced by sound or the concept with difference as its object, and the nature of the direct perception knowledge with self-characteristic as its object are different, the object of one will not appear to the other, because they are different in the way they appear and do not appear, mix and do not mix, many parts and non-many parts. Third, refute the view that one is also many appearances. Refute the identity based on recognition. First, if the sound concept and the wisdom of the root consciousness are both with the same thing as their object, but the basis is consciousness.
