It is reasonable to become. First, if impermanence is applied to the generality of color, then impermanence becomes a dharma of unreal generality, so does it become without essence? It is not that it becomes the essence of the unreal, because the self-character itself is established as such impermanence, so the mind also grasps it, and the proof also establishes it. For example, just as the general mind that grasps fire as having heat, thinking "this fire is hot," mixes that appearance with a single judgment, although it is attached to applying it to the self-character of fire, in reality it is directed at the appearance of fire in the mind of thought, and thus goes on to apply such verbal thoughts, but heat does not need to become a general dharma, just as it is established in fire. As it has been established, the thought that agrees with the meaning is the aspect of the object, and there is no independent object of thought, as has already been proven. Second, the brief statement of the answer to the debate is explained in detail. First, if impermanence is applied to the generality of color but not to the self-character, then just as feathers are attached to an arrow, it will not become attached to a pillar, so is it not established in the self-character other than the other generality where it is applied? It is not that impermanence is not established in the self-character, because the impermanence that is applied in the general mind is established in the self-character of meaning. Moreover, if the object called generality has an independent entity separate from the self-character, then applying it to it will not become applying it to the self-character, but apart from the object-possessing knowledge aspect that is held to be similar to the aspect of that self-character, there is nothing called generality, so the mind holds color etc. to be impermanent, and it is also established in the object, just like the mind that holds a blue flower to be blue. Second, the way in which the generality of the sign does not deceive the object. The negation and establishment of the particular do not deceive. First, refuting the entity and the debate. First, whatever entity of the sign of inference or establishment, what kind of nature is it that it can negate or establish, and the mind that holds it to be similar to that is the reason for the mind that holds it as the sign of establishing any dharma. For example, smoke has a relationship of arising from fire, and the created has a relationship of essence with impermanence, that is the nature of the self-character of meaning, and from knowing that it is so, smoke and the created are the signs of establishing fire and impermanence.

If the mind arises that takes this as a sign of establishment, then if the thing itself does not have the ability to establish, it will not be considered a sign, just as a pot is not considered a sign of establishing cloth. Similarly, negative signs also apply. Therefore, from the mind that holds the sign, the thing that is related to the sign, like this, for the thing to be established, it is produced by the mind that holds the sign, that is, relying on it, the wisdom of the sign-possessor arises. For example, if what is done is taken as a sign, then what does it become a sign of establishment? The wisdom of the sign-possessor, impermanence, arises, and also on what dharma that sign exists, it will be thought that impermanence is established on that dharma, and the dharma that one wants to understand becomes the sign-possessor. Therefore, although the wisdom of the sign and the sign-possessor is the object of the common characteristic, if the thing itself does not have such a reason, such wisdom will not arise, therefore it is indirectly related to the thing or the measurable, therefore the inference from the correct sign that the wisdom of the sign-possessor arises, although it appears as self-characteristic and empty in its own appearing object, it is not deceiving the reality of things, because it is the wisdom that enters by relying on the power of things. Second, if the valid inference is thus not deceiving the object, then, as mentioned above, "the second is mistaken," what does this mean? The reason for considering this mistaken is not that the object of attachment or the object of entry is mistaken as self-characteristic, but it is explained from the perspective of the appearing object being mistaken as self-characteristic. How is that? Because it is merely the appearance of the object of conceptualization, empty of the nature of the self-characteristic of things, but it is attached to the nature of the self-characteristic of things, therefore, although the inference does not deceive the thing of the self-characteristic that it has determined, it is established as being mistaken as self-characteristic in the appearing object. Second, the way in which the establishing sign is related to the measurable, and the way in which the negating sign is related to the measurable. First, the inference does not deceive the entering object, therefore, for the thing to be known or established, the one-entity relationship that is the same as the nature of the pervasive to be established, or the arising relationship that is the cause of that sign, from the pervasive action or the fruit smoke, etc., that establishment
