Even if it is necessary to be like the arising of wisdom, such a thing is not possible. This is an inconsistent example. Therefore, even without an object, the mind itself, which appears as an object, arises from the habitual imprints of familiarity with conceptualization, but it is not absolutely necessary to rely on the existence of objects, universals, etc. By pointing out that universals do not perform a function, it is merely the expression of names and the effort of ideation, and from the category of "etc.," whatever prior ideation is in accordance with the meaning, as a branch or cause of the mental activity of the mind that internally conceptualizes, it merely follows, and therefore there is no need for an existing entity. For example, the actions of lifting and lowering a vase, and the concepts of universal, number, and differentiation, which are not different, are also explained as not being objects that are established as external entities. For example, like gradually lifting a vase, even the momentary differences of seeing clearly the differences of objects with different objects, it is only by mentally fabricating "lifting the vase" that the action of lifting, which is different from the vase, cannot be established as anything in reality. Similarly, the universal is not established in reality, and number is also attributed to substances by way of excluding others, as explained in detail earlier. Second, refuting the argument with entities. First, if the inability to perform a function is the characteristic of a universal, then hair, double moons, dreams, etc., would also be included, because they do not perform a function. Answer: Hair, etc., are not characteristics of universals, because they are merely clear appearances of non-existence, and because it is realized that they have no function, therefore, attachment to their reality does not have any of the characteristics of the appearing object of conceptualization, because they are merely clear appearances, and even if they do not perform a function, they will not become universals. Second, if that is the case, then the object of conceptualization that grasps non-entities will also not become a universal, because there is no attachment to reality in it, because non-entities have no function whatsoever. Answer: Even if non-entities have no function, the mind will not fail to be attached to it, because conventional valid cognition grasps the knowable by way of negating the object to be negated as non-existent, therefore, appearing as the non-entity itself, it will not fall into the fault of not being a universal. If that is the case, then hair, etc., are also knowable because they grasp the knowable, that is, by way of appearing clearly in the object of non-conceptualization, and making it an object

If it is thought that even conceptual thought holds it as knowable. Then, the mere appearance of things like hair, etc., as objects held as knowable, is not prohibited. If it is said that hair, etc., are both general characteristics and specific characteristics, therefore they will become the third object to be measured by valid cognition. For non-conceptual cognition, the very clear appearance is the essence of cognition appearing there, even without an external object, so it is a specific characteristic. The discriminating mind that says 'hair, etc.' is the object of the generality of the appearance of hair, etc. There is only the appearance of hair, and there is not even a little of the specific characteristic of the hair itself as it appears. Therefore, hair itself does not become the third object to be measured. What appears there is the mind of non-conceptualization, and conceptualization without it is just the mind of conceptualization. If this is the case, if the general characteristic, such as the vase appearing in the conceptualization of holding the vase, is the meaning of the essence of knowledge, then it will also become a specific characteristic, so the two objects to be measured will not be established. If that appearance is analyzed and examined, and the nature of the object of thought itself is examined, whether it is the substance of the inner mind or the external object, it is not harmful because it is admitted that it is a specific characteristic because it abides in the nature of inner knowledge. If it is said that the object to be measured, which is said to be incapable of performing the function of the general characteristic, will not be established at all, will there be such a fault? There is no such fault, because in the context of analyzing terms, the appearance of the object of thought is considered to be the nature of the object, which is different from the mind of the object, and it is established as a general characteristic in that respect. How is the image of knowledge falsely established as the image of the nature of an external object, and because of special attachment, it is called the general characteristic of the object? Because for all the specific characteristics of the object, it is also held to be only its nature, and it follows in the same way, so it is nominally established as a generality due to thought. And its root also depends on the exclusion of the other, which is contrary to the object of attachment, so it is reasonable to establish it in that way. Second, the difference between general characteristics and specific characteristics. The characteristics of the general are actually shown. Explain the classification of the general that has it. First
