If someone objects: Since karma has already been created, there is no way not to experience the result. Although we do not deny this, we object to the idea that without relying on abandoning craving, there can be no antidote to exhaust all karma. And the saying "If craving is abandoned, then karma is also abandoned" is also because craving is the fault of being the cause of future arising, so the yogi who has realized selflessness, the Buddha, can prevent all initial faults, which has the power to prevent the karma produced by craving from arising, but how can the karma previously created be eliminated? This is impossible. Therefore, in order to eliminate karmic obscurations, reciting dharanis and practicing meditation, etc., should be known to have the power to weaken future experiences in the mind stream. If, just as craving produces karma, will craving also arise from karma if karma is not exhausted? It is not that faults such as attachment arise again from karma, but because of the dominance of craving, one will create karma with faults. Conversely, without craving, one will not create karma with faults. If it is said that because of past karma, happiness and suffering arise involuntarily, so it is impossible not to generate attachment and aversion from happiness and suffering, then how can someone with karma not have craving? If there is no wrong conceptualization and improper attention arising from self-grasping, then even from the feeling of happiness, desire will not arise, because there is no cause. Therefore, the realization of selflessness itself is the gate of peace leading to permanent liberation, and the reason for practicing through this dualistic path also establishes the way of reason, practice, and determination. Second, Sugata: The protector who teaches the Four Noble Truths, knowing the nature of reality, is the Sugata. Also, because of the meaning of reality, it cannot be taken away by other means, it is stable, and it goes without turning back. Or the nature of reality is thoroughly or completely seen, or by this power all is seen, that is, it has three special wisdoms. This has been explained through the previous method of abandonment, and here "gone" refers to the meaning of realization. Because the reason why the protector speaks of the Four Noble Truths is because he has such wisdom.

It is possible to know the Sugata from the protection. Because of possessing such three special realizations, one is superior to even the Arhats of the non-Buddhists, the noble learners, and the non-learners, the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, respectively. Those three differences of wisdom are also extremely certain by means of valid cognition, as in the teaching of the four truths, and in all the collections of scriptures, they are taught as one meaning without contradiction between earlier and later, and it is inferred from the complete and thorough teaching of the meaning of beings' aspirations together with the means through the gate of limitless aspects of means. Third, the teacher: Because of possessing such special wisdom, it can be understood that he applies or strives for skillful means for the benefit of others, because when showing the path of certain protection to others, he must have the wisdom of knowing the path. Moreover, this will not occur without having personally experienced it before, so it is also known that there is a teacher at the time of the cause. Or, it is not just that he himself knows, but that he applies that knowledge for the benefit of others, that is, because he has the characteristic of applying wisdom for the benefit of others, it is known that he is a teacher, because he also teaches others what he knows. Fourth, the loving-kindness that desires benefit: Loving-kindness is accomplished from the teacher, because such a teacher acts for the benefit of others, and even though his own benefit has been completely accomplished, he does not abandon the activity of teaching the Dharma that he has realized. If we measure the teaching of the path of certain protection, then it is also established that the one who shows it has stable self-benefit realization with special wisdom. It is established simply by pointing out that the one who shows the path is the teacher because he shows it to others, and by this it is also established that he is loving. Second, the conclusion. Because this teacher shows the correct path, this teacher himself is with the reason of being a valid person, because it can be understood that he has excellent wisdom and loving-kindness. How is it established that he has loving-kindness? Because loving-kindness shows the trainees the path of definite goodness that has no bad results at all, and is definitely good. How is it established that he has wisdom? Because from the wisdom of seeing things as they are, he speaks the truth that does not contradict the reality of things and has no falsehood at all, so it is the path of liberation.
