If it is said that only the self-nature does not revert, even if there is a difference in the degree of attachment, but only arising without reverting, therefore it is impossible to exist without attachment. If it is said that there is no difference for the object of the cause that is the same or similar in self-nature, therefore for all attachments, etc., there is no difference in size and they become the same. For example, the consciousness of a cow arising from the nature of having the same cause (such as cow dung) only recognizes it as a cow, whether it is mottled or red. For concepts such as "cow", "very cow", "extremely cow", there will be no difference in size. Similarly, in this view of the Lokayata, for earth, etc., even in some cases, the difference between life itself and "very life", "extremely life", etc., does not have other gradations of size, then the result is only life without difference, similarly, how can there be a difference in its result, attachment, etc.? Life and attachment, etc., are produced from arising, and if it does not arise, then there is no need to say, from the beginning of arising, it is only itself, and it is impossible to have different gradations of its difference. If there is no difference in size for life, but there is a difference in size for attachment, etc., then the cause of both is not only arising, but it is established that there is a greater cause of attachment, etc., because merely arising does not necessarily produce it. Similarly, the difference in the bodies of sentient beings is not only from arising, if it were, it would fall into the fault of having no difference, therefore it is also established that there is another cause, which follows the previous karma. Second, the metaphor and the object of the metaphor are not similar, if they are considered similar, then it is too much. First, just like sandalwood fire and ordinary fire, even if there is a difference in the degree of warmth, it is impossible to have a fire that has no warmth at all, similarly, in this arising, even if there are parts that produce differences in the degree of attachment, etc., it is impossible to have parts that do not produce attachment at all. If you say so, it is not reasonable, because how much warmth there is, that is fire, because it has been prevented that there is another fire outside of warmth. If there is another fire outside of warmth, then it will fall into the fault of having a fire without warmth, and it will be harmed by many reasons previously said, such as the simultaneous support being prevented. Therefore, the metaphorical fire and the metaphorical object, earth, etc., are not similar, if

If it is thought that a certain dharma, which is not inseparable from that dharma-holder, but whose qualities exist in a way that depends on it elsewhere, has a gradation of differences in increase and decrease, then those qualities, as differences of the dharma-holder or the basis, may also cease in some or some parts. For example, when the whiteness of cotton cloth etc. is changed by other colors, it is as explained before. Therefore, the qualities that exist in the elements (འབྱུང་བ།), the differences that become the cause of the magnitude of attachment etc., which are subject to increase and decrease, may also cease in some differences of the elements (འབྱུང་བ།), so it is not the same as the warmth of fire. Second, the inseparability of fire and warmth can be used as an example to show that the way in which earth etc. and the power of attachment etc. are inseparable is similar to it. However, if it is thought that it cannot be used as an example because they are not different entities, then even if they are different entities, there are examples of inseparability. For example, just as form and touch etc. are different from the elements (འབྱུང་བ།) but inseparable, the elements (འབྱུང་བ།) and their qualities are also similar to it. If this is thought, then this example does not determine that if there are elements (འབྱུང་བ།), there must be attachment etc., because those forms etc. are not different in nature from those simultaneous elements (འབྱུང་བ།). If, like that, attachment etc. and the elements (འབྱུང་བ།) also exist without difference, then it is not so, because attachment, hatred, pride etc. also arise simultaneously with the formation of the body, all without before or after, which is too much. If that were the case, then as the dharma of the mind, attachment, hatred etc. would have to arise continuously in an instant, but that is impossible. If it is thought that they do not arise together because the objects of attachment etc. do not exist together, then there is no self-characteristic of the object of attachment etc., because the object is regarded as a quality, and if one's own mind does not grasp it as the object of attachment, the object itself does not generate attachment, as analyzed many times before. Therefore, this attachment that arises in the realm of mind-consciousness is because it is an object of action that is conceptually regarded as lovely in the object, therefore, merely the existence of objects such as form etc. is not a determinant that necessarily generates attachment etc. Third, if attachment etc. do not arise from the cause of previous habituation, but arise only from the body, then because the previous causes of the same kind lack the cause of equal ability, the magnitude of attachment, hatred etc.
