It is appropriate to follow like a lamp and light. If someone asks, isn't it a fault that the differences in various diseases lead to multiple differences in the same fault? Because there are multiple situations in one fault, either all change simultaneously, or only change from that one fault to another. This argument is not established. For example, when bile increases excessively and becomes a disease, hatred arises from suffering. If someone thinks this way, it doesn't prove that the argument is not established. Because not only bile, but everything that becomes a disease produces suffering, and then hatred arises, so it cannot be determined that this is a unique characteristic of bile. If someone asks, what contradiction is there if hatred and so on can arise from all things? It does not arise from all things, because it has already been said that the fault of all things equally producing desire and so on has been stated. The second part is to refute the opponent's view and answer. The first point is that if a cause like phlegm increases excessively, then the result, desire, should also increase in the same way, and should not decrease. For example, when bile increases excessively, it causes fever in the body, foul odor, etc. If this is the case, when phlegm increases excessively, desire does not arise due to suffering, sleep does not occur when wind increases, and thinking is not clear when bile increases, which would become contradictory. Therefore, the changes of desire and so on do not come from phlegm and so on, but from the internal balance of the aggregates, which are produced by the feelings of pleasure and pain that take touch as the object. The second part is to refute the previous claim. The first point is that the opponent says: When it becomes a disease and increases, the suffering caused by the imbalance of the severity of the faults overwhelms everything, and even if phlegm and so on increase, it does not produce the characteristics of desire and so on. Then, please say what produces desire and so on? The answer is: When the aggregates are balanced, semen increases, and desire arises from this. The second part is the actual refutation and the refutation of eliminating faults. The first point is that the situation is not so certain, because even in patients with unbalanced aggregates, one can see people with desire. And some other people, even if the aggregates are balanced, desire does not arise. There are also some people who, even when semen is exhausted and blood flows from that channel, can be seen to produce desire, which is harmful. In addition, if desire arises only from the increase of semen, then semen increases in a woman

Since there is no certainty, a man with increased semen will not necessarily develop a strong attachment to a single woman who is particularly attached to lustful thoughts, even though he is the same to everyone. But because it is also seen that one is particularly attached to one, attachment does not arise merely from semen, but it is established that it arises from one's own conceptualization. Second, if it is said that the beauty of the form and the elegance of the behavior of that single object are also factors in the arising of attachment, that is not so, because it is not so certain for all men. For example, it is not certain that everyone is attached to it as one is attached to it. Furthermore, if only beauty of form is a factor of attachment, then one should not be attached to anything other than beauty of form. However, attachment also arises without absolute certainty for all those who are considered beautiful or ugly, because nowhere can anyone be found who has not become an object of attachment. Furthermore, if only beauty of form is a factor of attachment, then those who are accustomed to ugliness and those who have found an object that is even more beautiful should not develop lust for that object even if they have semen, but if they do not consider it a virtue, attachment will not arise, which is obvious. If it is said that considering that object a virtue is also a factor in the arising of attachment, then all men, as soon as they see that one considers beauty of form to be good, will consider it a virtue like the former, and will become capable of generating attachment. Because the beauty of form exists in the object, and the increase of semen in accordance with this is the cause of attachment, and if there is attachment, it must be considered a virtue, because all men are no different for those who have the cause of such a mind that considers it a virtue and generates attachment. Third, the fallacy of necessarily being one result is: in whatever situation one considers a person to be an attached person, that is, has become an attached person, then such a person will only ever remain in that state and will never become a hater. Because attachment, which desires to take an object, and hatred, which desires to abandon an object, are two things whose essence is completely different. It cannot be thought so, because in this state of attachment and hatred, there is no absolute certainty to be seen, sometimes it is a state of hatred, and sometimes it is a state of attachment.
