Also. That form is contrary to other phenomena that do not generate eye consciousness, and it is the name of having the ability or result of generating eye consciousness, so the name indicates that meaning. Third, thus stating dharma and the possessor of dharma, aggregates and the possessor of aggregates, although in reality the two are not established as different entities, this approach shows that the way sounds and minds enter by excluding others is reasonable. Other examples include statements of dharma and the possessor of dharma, such as a vase is impermanent, the impermanence of a vase, and statements of aggregates and the possessor of aggregates, such as sandalwood and the scent of sandalwood, all similar kinds of sounds should be stated in the same way. Second, refuting arising from limbs. It does not arise from all limbs, nor does it arise from each individual limb. First, if one thinks that although the object with limbs is not established as a substance, limbs such as hands are established, and therefore mind arises from them, does it arise from all limbs being complete or from any one of them? If, as in the first case, all limbs are the cause of mind, then even if one limb like the nose is missing, mind should not arise, because if the cause is incomplete, the result will definitely not arise. This cannot be accepted, because it is manifestly established that mind arises even if each limb is missing. Second, refuting the object and its faults. First, even if each limb has the ability to generate mind, then for one person, at one time, many minds will arise, as many as the number of limbs and the number of their atoms, just as many seeds produce many sprouts, because the cause is complete. Second, refutation and not being similar to oneself. First, brief explanation and detailed explanation. First, the opponent says, there is no fault of many minds arising at the same time, because the cause of mind is not only the body, but also the breath, and since there is only one breath, one mind arises. The answer is that this is not reasonable, because breath, like limbs, also exists in many parts of direction and time, so those breaths of inhalation and exhalation are not the cause of determining one mind. Second, indivisible, homogeneous breath is not the cause, divisible, heterogeneous is not the cause. First, those breaths are not multiple, because one breath is an indivisible whole, if you think so, that is not right, although it is established by factual force, but for the time being, do not do other investigations.

Refuting according to sectarian commitments. Even if it is admitted to be one, all those many things that have countless prior and subsequent thoughts during a single indivisible breath will become clear. Anyone who believes that the cause of mind is breath, because breath is always near and existent. If the single breath is not the cause of many minds, then it will not be the cause of many minds gradually. Therefore, that mind which previously arose from one breath will arise again and again, because breath arises from the body, and the body and breath are considered to be undifferentiated, not different kinds before and after. Furthermore, the statement that one breath is the cause of one mind is also directly negated. Because even in one breath, minds that apprehend multiple meanings arise, so it is uncertain to say that one mind arises from one breath. If it is said that there is no fault, even if it is one mind, it can understand multiple meanings through one mind, then all prior and subsequent meanings will be immediately understood by that mind, because there is no contradiction in it understanding many things, so it cannot be considered to be limited. If it is said that it does not immediately apprehend all prior and subsequent meanings, but gradually apprehends them, then it will not gradually apprehend them either, because its cause has no difference between prior and subsequent. Second, many things are not suitable as the cause of many things, and many things are not the cause of one thing. First, a single breath is not indivisible, because it has many momentary parts, so each moment produces one knowledge. If this is the case, then is such a moment gradually produced from the previous similar kind of breath itself, or is it produced from the body? If the latter is admitted, and it is not produced from its own similar kind, then if it is thought that the many moments of breath with prior and subsequent order are the cause of the nature of mind that arises in that way before and after, and that each moment of breath produces the moment of knowledge that is simultaneous with it, then it is fully understood. Because it does not depend on the previous similar kind, there is no cause with order, how can those breaths arise in order before and after? Therefore, they should arise simultaneously. Because the arising of those breaths depends on the previous one.
